Second Feb HOF Update!!!!!

I'll third or fourth that sentiment. Finally HOF is what I wished it were years ago. A place where a *variety* of games and styles can be represented. I was never very interested in the milking but all these fastest type games are a blast to play and read about.

And with that in mind, I have a suggestion, when submitting let the player also submit a thread link, assumbly the thread link of the description or details after the fact.

Excellent work to the boss & his minions

I did not expect an 11th hour submission to make the tables and want to thank all who worked so hard on making the HOF a top-o-the-line spot. :hatsoff:

VERY good idea!! Slug?

Well done 'slug, Dianthus & Space! :goodjob:

And, if you can keep updating at least once per month, you'll keep generating more interest in the Hall.

Keep those good ideas coming......the Submission Deadline date is a swell idea! :goodjob:

I'll put in on the provisional wish list, but don't expect a decision/implementation soon. Something like that would require Dianthus' time, and I'm fairly protective of that. Between regular HOF mechanics, MapFinder, CRpSuite and his own Civ playing, his free time is pretty well accounted for, so I keep my share as minimal as I can. ;)

It'll be roughly twice per month until IV comes out. After that we'll likely cut back, as submissions will likely nosedive.

Ideas and suggestions are always welcome, but don't get hopes up for reasons mentioned in above post.

You missed off playing the Piano and reading (just received another 20 books from amazon), the two most time consuming of my many other hobbies ;).

Quick question... What exactly are the requirements for a diplomatic victory?

If it involves the UN, don't you have to get to the modern age before you get close to the UN?

How was it achieved in 210AD?

Apologies, but im just curious. Perhaps it will improve my own Civ 3 gaming skills

Welcome Joul :band:.

Yes, you need to research Fission before you can build the UN, which is in the modern age.

That is a dauntingly good date! Have you read the writeups by SirPleb/Sandman? See SirPleb's Diplo Race and Sandman's Diplo Fastest Finish for details of how they did it.

Oh... i understand now :)

Thanks for providing the link
