I'm trying to set up a Lost World/Atlantis style map with one uninhabited landmass rich in resources and several Ancient Ruins in between two populous continents. The problem I'm running into is I can't seem to find a way to prevent players being spawned there.
I tried using the "random player start location" option under Plot Editor in the WorldBuilder. Didn't work. Spawned my civ in the same spot every time and ignored the start locations for the AI. I tried generating the map with the Terra script, which supposedly doesn't spawn players in "America", but had no luck. Spawned me there and another AI player. Tried building the map as a scenario with preassigned civs and start locations. Spawned my civ correctly, but ignored starts for the AI players. (Also I'd like to be able to get Achievements, and I don't think they work w/custom scenarios)
So is there any way to prevent players from spawning on a particular continent?
