Chariots are not good for garrison, but are better than archers in beating barbs in the field. And they can be upgraded to Keshiks.

Upgrading things to Keshiks costs money, so baring good XP it really isn't worth it most of the time.

Don't we need Mysticism for The Oracle?!

Priesthood enables The Oracle.

Btw, Hinduism has been founded in a distant land so I don't think mysticism would be such a good idea any more.
