Sengoku: Shogun AI

I just purchased Civ Conquests a couple days ago and have been playing Sengoku a lot and have tweaked a couple things I felt needed fixing. I reduced the yamabushi's movement to 1 but still keeping road movement like ninjas, gave the mounted samaurai bowmen a bombard stength of 3 like the samaurai archers because the mounted ones had a strength of 0 but range of 1 which would cause them to fail every bombardment, heh, and then I tweaked palaces to be able to upgrade land units and dropped the shogun upgrade cost to 1 so that the dumb AI would upgrade their shoguns so capital assassination wins wouldn't be as easy and cheesy against the AI.

While the palace tweak managed to get the AI to upgrade their shoguns, I still haven't figured out a way to make it so the AI actually uses or at least moves them because I'd also like to get rid of the ability to automatically know where the AI's shoguns are at to further reduce the "rush straight for AI capital" wins. So I was just wondering if anyone figured out a way to make the AI move/use their shoguns or is keeping them in their capitals yet at least fully upgraded the best one can do?

Make sure the Shoguns have "capture" and "load" and flag them as "offense" and/or "defense", uncheck "king" box if nessesary.

Give the shoguns explore flag. Test this some, though. They should use them like scouts, but if they get a barbarian camp the AI might lose. Don't give it offense because it'll charge into your territory and lose in battle (unless you want that kind of thing.) Defense will make it be treated like a defense unit only. Mix and match those and see what works best :) . Keep it as king.

Shoguns with defense AI are really interesting.

AI will use them for exploration like human players and later will put them in some city for defense.

Unfortunately, 20% of civilizations dies in early games from barbarians.

P.S.
As for Senguku scenario, doesn't anybody find laughable that Seige Crossbow cost 50 shileds and has just 25% better bobmard rating then 20 shields cost Catapult.
Even more ridiculus is 80 shields cost Fire Cannon.

Why all these weapons have RoF of 1 is beyond me.

Do I have to remake the whole shogun units to do all that? I uncheck king and it still has all the other boxes grayed out so it won't let me click on offense or defense unit. It sounds like those shoguns are fun being a defensive exploration unit. I don't mind if civilizations die 20% of the time due to barbarians because there's so many clans that would have been destroyed early on anyways so at least they're a bit more powerful with the free upgrades and gets rid of the cheesy "head for capital" assassinations.

Oh yeah, with the seige crossbow, I upped the rate of fire to 2 and the same for the fire cannon. The normal extra cost for the fire cannon comes is due to it having a range of 3, but yeah it still sucked having a rate of fire of only 1, heh, especially when samurai archers have a rate of fire of 2.
