Settings problem

I have a problem with my setting menu since I bought the game. I don't know what it is exactly, maybe a file not at the right place, I don't know. I just have a black background, a big red square with three smaller squares on top with a black hole (only the smaller ones). In the big one, it is written:
size = 38 x 38

position=345 x 381
add 36 pixel to
Y coordinate as
buttons go down


This is conquests/Art/interface/highlightebuttons
Then, there are a few normal boxes. All of this is strangely placed at the right bottom of the screen.
What do you think about this?

Well, I tried, but it didn't work at all, so...

You mean reinstalling didn't work or it didn't fix the problem?

You could also try cleaning the disk.
