Shared vision in multiplayer?

Hi, my friend and I just got Civ3 complete. We like to play games co-op, so we figured out how to make a locked alliance through the conquest editor for a map to play together. However, once we started the game, we noticed we can't see each other, though we confirmed we were allied when we tried to attack/trade with each other.

Is there any option or way to share vision between/among allies?

Thank you.

Well, you could enable on the editor for the two human players to start with embassy, and that the "Steal plans" espionage mission is available to diplomats. After that just place starting treasury to the amount needed for the mission to suceed with "Safety" to both players and you´ll be able to see your friend´s troops at all times, even through the fog of war.

Another cool tool is of course the Fog Of War, if you are playing a pre-made map with your friend and know he´s/your´s starting position in advance, you just have to "paint" the zone of the map both of you play initially and will naturally expand in the future (rough estimate), thus at least the core of both human players will be visible at all times, remember, that the AI will also have access to this extra information and may react accordingly.

You can use both solutions together even.

Maybe there is a better way for this, unknown to me however...
