Shortened Anarchy Periods

Probably a no-brainer for most but I'm kinda slow sometimes - -

Tips to shorten Anarchy between government changes:
1) BEFORE you give the order to change government, set the entertainment entertainment slider to 100%. Might as well set it to 100% anyway because no growth or research gets done during anarchy.
2) Immediately after ordering the government change, visit every city and make sure that it's not going to go into civil disorder before ending your turn. Make sure number of happy citizens is equal to or greater than unhappy in each city.

It seemed to me that if you tried to change, ended your turn, and even ONE city went into disorder then the anarchy lasted much longer.

Ehhh.. is that true?

After initiating a revolution and the next turn, go to the domestic screen (press F1) and the advisor will tell you how many turns before you have the government back under control.

As for keeping the cities under 'control' is a must or some of the improvements may get destroyed.

The number of turns in arnachy I think depends on the previous government you had.
