Should we get peace with aztec as soon as possible?

I say yes becouse we are in republic and we should get peace before war-weariness sets in and I think we would be able to demand things from aztecs becouse we took one of thier cities.
And the aztecs cities are far away and I dont think we be able to take any other cities if this war is going to be short.

I'm not so sure eliminating them is a good idea. Who would do it? They are too far from us. Would we be making Greece stronger by eliminating Aztecs?

Aztecs have ROPs with all civs except Phoenatica and China.

Planned Foreign Affairs activity:
Remove ROPs with Zululand, Babylon and China.
In 4 turns, renew peace treaties with India, Iroquois, Greece and Rome.

Alliance (WAR) Option
Immediately get an alliance with Rome, Iroquois and Zululand (cost 2 luxuries, gain 15g + WM).
In 4 turns, include alliance in peace renegotiation with India and Greece.

Benefits - Puts to use 2 luxuries that nobody can afford to buy from us at the moment. Aztecs won't be able to move through Rome. In 4 turns, they won't be able to move anywhere and will be assaulted on all sides. Our Great Leader can build JS Bach's to keep the people from feeling war weariness. In all likelyhood Greece would take the most Aztec territory, bringing them on par with India and Iroquois.

Downside - We would be at war for 24 turns or until the Aztecs are destroyed, whichever comes first.

Foolish Aztecs. Anyway, I think we would be best served to simply ride it out until they are ready to sign a straight up peace treaty, or war weariness kicks in. No alliances should be necessary and could be harmful, because, if we ally several nations against the Aztecs, one of those nations is likely to gain a lot more territory. If we only ally with one nation against the Aztecs, our ally is likely to lose a lot of land. By doing nothing but playing defense, we deny the Aztecs what they want.

I concur with Eyrei. We have little to gain from this war, and there is no advantage (to us) in us assisting others to gain from the Aztecs. Lets see if we can get a peace deal with the idiot Aztecs - who knows, they might give us some benefit for the deal.

They will not currently talk to us but that should not last more than a couple of turns. I predict that they will take Peace/Peace or better immediately based on our comparitive ratings.

We've already made our gains from this war (leader and Tlaxcala), but Monty should still pay at least a couple gold for peace!

Now we need CAP II to get those gems from Greece!

I agree, we already got our gains, and defeated their stack (there's still 3 units running around - retreating). We should make peace when the oppurtunity presents itself. Plus, they're too far away to be of any use - major corruption)
