Signs?

In cIV I remember there was a way to create signs on the map. This was really useful to label what type of city it was without changing the actual city name. For example I want to designate certain cities as "great person farm" or "military city", but still want them named Paris and Orleans. Can you label the map in civ 5?

Also something that would be nice...Strategic view that keeps the default map views' city information tab. I play on strategic view but there is no convenient way to see a city's production and religion information.

I enjoyed Civ IV's labels. It was kind of weird that to access them without hotkeys you had to go into globe view, though.

The labeling and line feature in CIV was great I really missed it in CiV and it still bugs me having no access to it. I want my planned attack paths and points of interest back!

I didn't use them ever. Always thought they were useless, but the tool that allowed you to see how much culture was in a certain tile was useful

That wouldn't have much use in Civ 5 though. Maybe a similar system will be introduced in BNW with the ideological pressure.
