Things have been pretty quiet here lately. Everyone busy crushing those dastardly Sioux before the end of the month?

You've got it. Actually the Sioux are long gone but my spaceship lands in four years so I've got a lot of people to keep happy so my cities will grow and grow.

I kept the Zulus around on one small island where they seem to be content. Let's hope they stay that way for just a few more turns.

I don't mind, goodbye_mr_bond. Now I don't have to read over that many posts as moderator.

Zulus?!?! Did I miss something? I actually didn't think that there was a "green" civ in the game.

At my end game I had to make a choice:
1. With one Egyptian city remaining I could celebrate for a while and end by conquest, or
2. Take the time to further my tech effort in an effort to get to a spaceship.

Since it would have been SEVERAL turns before Space Flight and the rest of the spaceship techs (not to mention the time needed to build), I decided to end the game earlier rather than later and forego the extra 400 possible points.

Even so, my game ends later than I had hoped. I think that the new scoring system will encourage me to get better at War in Democracy.

Zulus?!?!

Well, first the Sioux launched their spaceship - I was way behind for most of the game - so I had to go after their capital. Before I was done, they had two civil wars. That left me with a few Spanish and Babylonian cities.

Next the Russians launched so I sent my Howitzers to Moscow. Another civil war and the Zulus appeared.

By the time I was cleaning up the Russians, I had my spaceship underway and still had to deal with the Vikings as they were well along with their spaceship.

I finished off the Vikings in 2002 and my spaceship was ready to launch in 2004 so it was worthwhile for me to wait.

Now I'm Democratic, happy and rolling home.

The green one is from Empire splitting , I believe.

In my game, the war ended earlier than I expected. I'm still far from SS. I have to give up the hope of building SS in this game. My score is just OK. The best part is it's the 1st solo-game I ever finished for a long time.

Big Wheel:

Your game sounds like it was great fun to play. Babylonians, Zulus, Spanish... - you must have gone through 8 or 9 civilizations! It's games like yours that are the most fun by far.

By the way, anyone have a record for the most civilizations seen in a single game? Will civs ever repeat themselves? In one of my first deity games I believe 10 civilizations were included all tolled. Finally, it turned into a nuke fest, but I was able to defend my own capital long enough to land a ship. One of the most fun games (and at times frustrating) I've played.

I suggest bigwheel find the sav that Sioux just launch its SS, and make it a SCN file. There might be some people like to play it

I might take you up on that, sekong, although I've never tried creating a SCN file.

It is a fun scenario: the year is 1976 and three civilization are building spaceships. You are still localized with much of the world out of reach for quick reinforcements. But you do have a good supply of troops positioned on the outskirts of the Sioux territory. How do you deal with three large opponents and still get into the space race before time runs out?

What you definitely won't do: <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/cwm33.gif" border=0>

It should be easy to make, fun to have. I have one from an early civ2 game. Still not finished yet.
