Slighty smarter AI

The stupidity of the AI never ceases to amaze me. One of the most stupid and common examples of this is this:
Country A and B are quite strong. Country C is weak. Country A asks country C to sign an alliance against country B, and they agree, even though this will almost certainly result in their annhilation.
The AI should be made a bit smarter to stop things like this.

I know what you mean about the AI making stupid decisions. I play on Diety so that I'd be the weak civ, but I still end up annialating anyone I go to war with even though I have smaller armies simply because of stupid decisions the AI makes. It annoys me. Here's what usually happens.

I go to war with a civ A. I sign alliances with everyone else to make sure that I win. But the other civs attack civ A's armies, but not their cities. I go in and take the cities from civ A. Then I'm no longer the weak civ. Then I turn on one of my former allies and everyone else still joins my side even though a pattern is soon established that I'm not going to permanently stay allied. I think the AI need to learn a little faster than they do.

Heh, yes, the AI does make some rather stupid moves. For example, in my last game on a tiny map (on Monarch), the French to the north of me were at war with the Zulus, who were at another island. The Zulus also built a small city to the south of me on the same island me and the French were on. When the French had taken all the Zulu cities except the one south of me, they decided to let their entire army (40-50 attack units) march through my land to take it. So what do I do? I built an attack force and destroyed their entire army in one turn after they'd arrived at the Zulu city. Then another attack force moved into French territory and captured lots of virtually undefended French cities before they had time to rebuild their attack force..

French no more. :)

Otherwise Country C would be killed as well....they had "no choice", at least lke that they'll try to gain something of that war....
