Slow Tech Tree Loading in Next War

My tech tree and interaction with other leaders take forever (30+ seconds) to load in the Next War mod. Is this normal - this is the first mod I have played? I am running BTS 3.17 and have a brand new high end PC (it isn't a hardware issue). Thanks
