SMURF-1 Low level Always War

No time to do major reports, so its just a summary

Early: Worker actions, north archers healed and go after Indian settler pair, bei can get 10 surplus food
Middle: Raze Bangalore, no gl. We havev mostly tech parity Bei riots, forgot that the happens crap comes before the worker is produced.
Late: go single sci for a turn on myst, gain 19g Bei can get a worker every turn, so don’t be afraid to use them to make forts and such up north.

Sorry for delay, had no time :(.

Preturn- I looked for any trades; Gave France 20g and and Comm. with Celts for Mysticm and I declared war. I checked with Celts if they have anything and they dont :( ; I declare war.

1- Made many worker actions in several locations. Plan to attack with two archers in eastern roman city.

2- Xinjian; Warrior> Worker (moved warrior west). Shangai; Horsemen> Horsemen (moved west). Beijing; Worker> Settler (made road to southern furs). Canton; Spearmen> Barracks (moved west). Increase science to 50% to drop the research to only 13 turns instead of 18 loosing 3gpt.

3- Rome moves another Spear/Settler pair near the wines. Korea brings an archer behind our territory. Nanking; Spear> Settler (moved west). Horsemen arrived to Tientsin.

4- Canton; Barracks> Horsemen. Worker actions. Archers arrive in northern Roman city. Ready to attack next turn.

5- Korea attacks Hangchow with one warrior and looses, archer is in our territory. We attack Cumae and WIN!!! No casualties. Warrior arrived in Hangchow.

6- Disease hits Tientsin. Road going to iron is finished! Changed production from Horsemen to Swordsmen; 2 due next turn. An archer and warrior from the Viking apear from different directions. Korea has Code of Laws, no trade.

7- French warrior appear near Tientsin; Viking warrior and Archer move closer. Tientsin can take the attacks; no worries. Canton; Swordsmen> Swordsmen (moved west). Shanghai; Swordsmen> Swordsmen (moved west). I lower science to 40% due to 7gpt loss; Polythiesm in 9 turns instead of 7.

8- Tsingtao; Temple> Swordsmen. Beijing; Settler> Settler (moved west). Nanking; Settler> Settler (" "). We attack Neapolis and WIN!!!! Settler just arrived in Tientsin and is moving to "Old Neopolis Region". Arrived Swordsmen in Tientsin attacks the French Warrior; no damage taken. Celt warrior moves near territory.

9- ...

10- I attack Viking Warrior on hill near Tientsin and uprgrade it to Elite. Canton; Swordsmen> Swordsmen. We attack approching warrior with Horsemen and win making it Elite. :D Korea has Map Making; no trade. WE HAVE A STRONG MILITARY AGAINST EVERYONE!!

11- Korea attacks with a warrior and an archer and looses making our defender an elite :D. Shanghai; Swords> Swords (moved west). Colony made in Furs.

12- Changed Shanghai to Spear. Xingan; Worker> Barracks. Tatung was settled on "Old Rome Region".

13- Viking Archer attacks Tsingtao right under my nose!!! But looses. :D. Canton; Swordsmen> Swordsmen(moved west).

14- Shanghai; Spear> Swords (moved west). Gathering attack units to "Roman Iron Hill.".

15- Celt warriors move more into our territory near Hangchow. I attack one of thier warriors with mine and WIN!! Made to vet. Southern Furs connected; we have 4 furs and 2 spices :D. Lux. lowered making 0gpt.


There were no casualties in all attacks I made!!! Thats good. :D Please post comments. Next ruler good luck and look out for that northern Indian Settler about to settle.

In general a good set of turns. Max science is what is needed. As long as we build libraries we can easily outpace the AI.

To nitpik, having 4 furs is no more helpful than 1, excluding commerce. Hooking up the gems using a colony is important.

No problem with switching to swords, I think our fight is in the jungle. Keeping some horses back for garrison duty will help us defend behind the lines.

Nothing has been mention about the lost production from the 2 cattle near spice city. This city needs to be replaced. That was the first thing I did in my shadow. I was able to get 10spt in no time.

Beijing is a great worker farm. Migrating workers to the other cities will boost our production and commerce quickly.

Just some comments, no criticisms intented.

I just thought you would like to know now, rather than wonder "where did he go"?

[lurker] Outpace the tech may not be the best idea. Follow the AI up the tree, no 40 turn gambits here. You get a reduced cost on research if the AI already have it. There is really no need to be the tech leader. Just be sure not to fall too far behind. The great library is a must. Even if you don't get it make sure you capture that city before Education. You get a windfall of tech.

Wake workers in Tientsin. Start road to Tatung.
Swap Canton sword => temple
Swap Tsingtao sword => archer
Swap Shanghai spear => temple
Swap Nanking settler => spear, spice city has barracks and granery.
Swap Beijing, Tatung, Tientsin => temple
Ok, I may have gone a little temple crazy but we are running 20% lux's and have 3 settlers in hand.
Reduce research, poly due in 1t.
Wake Indian workers, will start a road from ivory.
Am thinking Tatung for our FP.

Sword to iron source, Korean spear approaches.
Macao founded. Monarchy due in 24t.

2 - 690 Bc
Beijing horse => worker
Archers defeat Indian settler/spear pair

3 - 670 BC
Worker actions, position troops, Korea is sending its pillaging crews out.

4 - 650 BC
Want to get the population up to 6 in Tatung.

5 - 630 BC
Monarchy due in 14t. gems colont founded, lux's to 10%

6 - 610 BC
Move spears to defend along mountain ridge. Ok, I got a little behind in military production. Beijing to horse, Canton to sword. Increase science, monarchy in 11t, lux at 0.

7 - 590 BC
Merge settler to Tatung => FP, 2 more workers needed there. Shoot me later.

8 - 570 Bc
Lost settlement site north of Macao. Sending settler to Tatung.

9 - 550 BC
No change.

10 - 530 BC
Settler merged at Tatung.

So have 4 cities at 10spt, 2 on horse, 2 on sword, 2 others on spears. Tatung might get 5spt when mining complete. @3spt FP due in 62t. Defensive line complete.

Thanks, I assumed that Smurf would pick it up when he returns if he returns. I don't know why he is being :whipped: just fiqured he would return to complete his SG. So we are considering him skipped? Ok by me.
