Ah, welcome Stecker to the Fanatics, why didn't you register earlier? :crazyeye:
Sorry I really don't know.

I should have started writing down some issues I have found right at the beginng, as I'm now feeling like I forgot the a lot again but I'm quite shure some of them were just stuff I saw already reported here.

Now for a few things I didn't saw already reported. And some other stuff below.

1) Somewhere at level 14 Archers and Crossbows stop gaining experience when attacking a city. They do get experienece for shooting at other units though.(savegame from shortly before the end of my first playthrough attached)

1b) The space for the promotions and special abilities list is way to small.
1c) Isn't it weird to upgrade a crossbow (ranged) to a "Schütze" (melee)? What about the promotions?

2) Is it on purpose that the "Sistine Chapel" wonder which provides a 33% bonus to your culture in all your cities does not give you a bonus on a city with 3 culture points. That seems rather strange to me, as with this descritption I expected to get one bonus culture for every 3 culture points I already have. Could be a problem with that 33% is not excactly 1/3.

3) Sometime in the game Washington declared war on my allied city state Kapstadt. As I just wasn't motivated for the next war at that moment I immediately went to him and asked what he wants to make peace with Kapstadt. He just answered "I suppose I must" and demanded nothing. In the next turn Washington came along and told me Haha I have attacked your little friend what will you do now about that.

4) Later then Alex did the same thing with Helsinki. The really weird thing here was, that Helsinki already had a city stregth of somewhere around 40 to 50 while Alex came along with some Archers and Hoplits. I don't remember if he had some swordsmen too but honestly he had absolutely no chance to conquer Helsinki.

5) The information about a city being grown is broken. It seems to only work for small citys or so. Later in the game I only got it for conquered citys which I were razing.

6) I tested a culture bomb with a great artist from a wonder on Washington while at war with him and he came along telling me something about how I could do this.
Now I just tried again and he told me, if I wanted to provoke a war I'm on a good way.

7) The automatic border expansion by culture has really really weird preferences.(Why is it only automatic anyway?)
e.g.: It took the great barier reef which was three tiles away almost last as it didn't took the ocean fields which blocked them, also it starts taking useless tiles four fields away while there are still really good tiles to be grabed which could be worked at.

As a summary of that first full game I can say that I like most of the design changes they did for version 5 but really that game should have been released at least six month later. It feels so unfinished in its game mechanics and is missing lots of stuff in civilopedia, mouseover information and information screens.
Also on my computer I have technical issues with the directx 10/11 version running really bad(started automatically with everything on high but unplayable after a short time) and also the directx 9 version has some problems, like I have seen the red dots, some stuttering after a diplo screen or so, textures loading really slowly, strange white and red checkered textures appearing when you move somewhere on the map and getting replaced by the right ones within a few seconds. (Athlon X2 5600+ EE, Sapphire Radeon 4850, 4GB Ram Vista 32Bit)
Also have had installation problems, as it seemed to have messed up something with english and german content.
I would have extremely prefered more care in this regards over all those silly different versions and dlc stuff.

I have read Sullas review yesterday and can say that I mostly agree with that: http://www.garath.net/Sullla/Civ5/americanempire.html

As I usually come allong with a somewhat different playstyle one thing I have to disagree with Sulla, is about the maritime city states extra food becoming less powerfull in the late game.
It stays extremely powerfull the whole game! Just look in my game, my capital is getting 35 extra food from them and has grown to a size of 34.

Another thing which is not a bug, that I don't like are the great people (except great general). I don't like their abilities! My capital has 8 academies and is producing more thanb 300 science but as I don't want to put those improvements anywhere as they are feeling wrong on every spot (either you waste a good field or put them on a tile which you don't want to work at) so they are not a fun feature for me as they are currently working. The only thing that I liked about them were the golden ages but I had plenty of great generals to waste on this.

I'm not shure the introduction of the maintenance was a good idea, at least it feels very unbalanced. Some national wonder requiring that you build a barrack in every city. How weird is this, a silly useless barack that costs maintenace in every single city.

Also it was said they tried to make the design so that nothing is wasted. (global happiness, ...)
I like this approach but hey, why are the great person points still gathered on a per city basis?
Why is a great scientist increasing the counter for all the other types?
In the whole game I only got great scientists and honestly I think I will have to force myself to ever get some other type of great persons.(The other specialists felt weak to me)
And wy is my excess happiness wasted when I'm in a golden age? (I didn't checked after a golden age if it was really wasted but I think it was)

Do I take a screenshot with the print key? I though so, but I can't find any screenshot in the game folder. Where are those located?

So that was all I remember right now. Anyway a too long of a post for the bug forum.
