I always wanted some new units such as the kamakiza and the ablity to loot on any tile instead of city. Put you sugesstions for new units here!

I've always thought they needed to add some new naval/air units in the game. The Naval & Air war in Civ3 is VERY weak. Airplanes should beable to move just like any other unit and beable to "dog fight" with eachother.

i say a normal cruiser, a "hunter-killer" sub and a "boomer" sub instead of one nuclear sub, cruise missle that can be loaded onto boomers, super carriers that hold more planes, attack helicopter, modern infantry, modern marines, modern paratroopers... am i forgetting anything?

oh yeah, a surface ship that carries nukes and cruise missles

Jet bombers
Riflemen with some offense
Different Infantry troops in modern age
Terrorist

Tanks and planes, for those civs without the required resources.

Advanced workers later on in the game would be cool to have. They could move two squares and work 50% faster than normal workers.
Maybe a different selections of Infantry, Rifleman, ect. When you started making one you could select an option of how to "train" it. Meaning that you could make Defensive Calvary, or Offensive Rifleman, or a mix of both. Then you could have a defender in your group of calvary that could keep up with the others.

To add on I also like the idea of being able to upgrade certain units, for example you have some tanks and you research a technology that grants titanium resource if you hooked up to it you could upgrade your tanks weapons, and armor with the new metal and they would get a +2 or +3 attack, and some more defence.

Some units I would suggest:
1.- Zeppelins (war blimps, the original long-range bomber)
2.- Special Forces (use similarly as the spies in Civ2)
3.- Foreign Legions
4.- Mercenaries
5.- Military Engineers (being able to work as fast in other civs territory, able to defend itself)
5.- Better war helicopters
6.- Forts and Military bases (being able to set a base in a foreign place without loosing it... ie something like Guantanamo Bay in Cuba)
7.- Maybe add more uu's based on a Wonder owned by a specific civ...

i just thought of a new one... technicals!

they could be used by civs that don't have oil as a kind of crappy mech infantry

also, an apc would be nice, as well as some type of troop truck that could upgrade to it

your upgrade idea is cool Sir Bamalot;)

THIS IS MY 200th POST!!! :D

Let's say you disvover flight and you get recons, you discover it again and you get fighters and again and you get bombers, Again!!! and you get turbo jets, and so on with every tech.

make stealth bombers able to hit anything on the map, because they can in real life:D

yes but that would give the civs too big a power...

i always wanted the planes to be able to fight each other like in other civ games...not for them to be immobile...

personally i always resented the fact that there are far too few units in civ...more ships, more air units is what is needed..if planes could fight each other directly, that would give the game a far bigger and better military aspect, making the airforce the power it is in real life....

more diversity unit wise is what is needed, too

I actually like the new air system, it's just that the planes are too weak in the normal game. And they do fight each other in the air.

My quick list of just the basic needed units -

Land
Musket Infantry
Modern Infantry
Dragoon
Bombard Cannon

sea
Cog
Clipper
Ship of the Line
Steam Frigate
Cruiser

air
Biplane
High-Altitude Bomber
Attack Helicopter
Atomic Bomb

Kamikaze, cruisers are included in Conquests (according to previews).

They have added another sea unit with two sails (seen in both Meso American scenario and Craddle of civilization one).

Some of the units I'd like to see...

Early age jet fighter
Jet fighters for specific use on carriers, while others can only be launched from land-based airfields
Attack helicopters
Fleets
Air Wings
Special Forces
Modern Infantry
APCs
Asian, Middle Eastern, African, and Native American variants of knights, longbowmen, medieval infantry, pikemen, and musketmen
Modern Marine
Modern Airborne Infantry
Nuke-Armed Long Range Bombers
WWII-Era Infantry
WWI-Era Tanks
WWI-Era Aircraft
Post-1880 through Post WWI Naval Vessels
Partisans and other Guerilla fighters

Crazy! Fleets are a brillant idea! instead of great leaders to build fleets let a etite ship do it with itself in it. I would imagine fleets would be a lot more powerfully then armies since theres not as much units on the sea. By the way does anyone know how to upgrade troops in armies or how to take them out? It's really vexing.

The answer is simple, NO!!!

You cannot upgrade your troops in your Armies. Actually, I think your Army dies, and your troops become independent if you upgrade. BUt I'm not sure.

If you have outdated units in an Army, send them on suicide missions, or use them as military police.

i really liked the guerilla fighters taking to the hills if you conquered a city in civ II. i wish they would add that in conquests.

you guys have very good ideas but why you want a unit that 4 turns later is going to become obsolete, upgading you units each 4 turns is expensive and and we have a shortage of tech...
