Hi,

Do you build spaceports in multiple cities so you can simultaneously build space components, or do you just do it all from one city?

Thanks,

Ackoman

I build them in multiple cities because each component can take a
very long time.

I must be doing something wrong because I feel like I'm waiting for the next tech more often than I'm waiting for production for finish. Especially with the expansion, building the parts seems really fast.

You want at least three so you can chop in the last few parts all at once. You should be finishing the tech tree or well on your way when you even buy your first SP.

Previously I always built 2 spaceports to optimize the SV. Since R&F I am no longer convinced that 2 are needed. One can be sufficient. The bottleneck seems to be science output now, not the prod.

Right now I build one and buy 2. I still like to have all 3 of the Mars Mission projects going at the same time if possible.

Unpopular opinion apparently.. 1 or 2. You should be able to guarantee the great engineer and/or the great scientist. This puts you down to 3/4 projects or in other words 1/2 at the end. Using builders with royal society you really shouldn't need more than 2.

2x7200= 14,000. With that plus your great people points you can buy at least 1 great person, how is this more optimal? Am I missing something? Even if someone sabotages one spaceport you can still use the other one.

With R&F I now only do one. I can usually finish a part in ~4 turns (Royal Society for the win!) so science is my bottleneck now.

Now I need only one with Magnus's factories stacking ability and also originating all traders from that city to whichever cities has highest productions.

I used to do two, but I find it's just easier to use one. I'm always waiting on techs, so I can't build everything at once anyways. Highest production city of course, and a spy in the industrial zone and spy in the spaceport. And I run royal society. I still like to aim for Sergei Korolev (especially if I have the Mausoleum).

I use one in R&F. It's easier to cover with counterspying and could be boosted with governor. Now what you could speed projects with mass-produced builders and other bonuses, the actual project building is really fast.
