Sports in Civ?

I like the idea of international events, eg: the Olympics, Expos etc, but I'm just not sure it would fit in with Civ unless a ridiculous amount of work into it like adding economic conferences and things.

I think the football stadium idea is the way to go. I think the Olympic Games could be a small wonder - something everyone can build once that gives a tourism and a one-time economic bonus. Certainly makes more sense than everyone building their own Mt. Rushmore.

The idea of Mount Rishmore being a smal wonder makes no sence at all. Like it or not its still as Unique as say the Pyramids. Its a one off just not as significant as many of the others but still a worthy addition to the game. The sports thing if popular enough could end up being one of thise things they put in the expansions.
