Spy/Smash

I am pretty strong, am i?:D Well, right now chess is more hobby for me - i dont have enough free time to play it.:( How about you - any IM norms (or GM)?:)

17.a4 c4
18.Nxc4 Nb4
19.cxb4 Qxc4
20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2! (my mark)

Of course, i didnt wait any other moves than this one! Now it will be funny!:D

22.b5

I was looking at 22.Bf4.:D

No norms for me.Just not many opportunities in this neck of the woods.I was going to be World Champion ;) until real life reared it's ugly head.I "retired" from organized competive chess many moons ago.

17.a4 c4
18.Nxc4 Nb4
19.cxb4 Qxc4
20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4

I was looking at 22.Bf4.
heh, i wont give my pawns back so easily!:p

Well, i also wanted to become a world champion but i really dont regret i didnt become one.:)

17.a4 c4
18.Nxc4 Nb4
19.cxb4 Qxc4
20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1

Whoops, blundered a pawn on e4!:D

Yes,being world champion is not all it is cracked up to be.Or at least it looks that way.

Getting worried? ;)

17.a4 c4
18.Nxc4 Nb4
19.cxb4 Qxc4
20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1 Rd4

hehehe..I'm not sure I beleive you :D.I assume you beleive you can continue with no chance of losing?

20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1 Rd4
24.Nc6 Rxe4

Good game we have going here :goodjob:

I hope so.:D I am not sure what was better - your offered Bf4 or b5.

20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1 Rd4
24.Nc6 Rxe4
25.a5

ah I'm just trying to mess with your head ;)
You'll need to make a fairly large mistake to lose.On the other hand,I see no easy way to win :crazyeye:

20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1 Rd4
24.Nc6 Rxe4
25.a5 bxa5

well, i hope i have no chance to lose this position, only win. But in most variations i see only a dead draw.;) Ok, i wont risk too much but it looked pretty interesting to play 26.N:a7

26.N:b4

Safe but looks good.:)

I offer 26...R:b4 27.R:a5

26.Nxa7 doesn't look good for white after 26....Bc5 27.Rxa5 Ree2 or 27.Nc6 Ng4 or Ree2.Then I beleive it is black that has no chance of losing.

20.Qxc4 Rxc4
21.Nxe5 Rc2!
22.b5 Bb4
23.Rf1 Rd4
24.Nc6 Rxe4
25.a5 bxa5
26.Nxb4 Rxb4
27.Rxa5 Ng4

25.a5 bxa5
26.Nxb4 Rxb4
27.Rxa5 Ng4
28.Rxa7 Rxb5

25.a5 bxa5
26.Nxb4 Rxb4
27.Rxa5 Ng4
28.Rxa7 Rxb5
29.h3 Nxf2

I offer:
30.Rxf2 Rxc1
31.Raxf7 Rb1

which looks like dead draw.If you accept the sequence,I will offer a draw now :(

opps,I guess I should say I request a draw ;)

Can i refuse?:D Of course, accepted.:) Well, maybe you was right and i really should have played Bf4 instead of b5. Anyway, i think i made pretty bad move Kg2 - i should have played a4 and Nc4 without wasting one full move. What do you think?:)

Well, can't say Bf4 leads to a win but it lead to more complications which I thought you would have favored.

Actually,Kg2 is fine.I would have played something simple like Bd2 most likely.Nf5 is another possibility.
a4 is interesting.I'm not sure how I would have answered.Several "waiting" moves are available.Maybe I play a6 and then b5 after Nc4.Then I think you would have a wasted move. Its makes for more complications though.

Shall we play again?

i also dont say that Bf4 leads to win but it appears it was the best continuing.:) Anyway, the blacks position looked solid from the 1st till the last move so a draw was a logical result.;). i have to say that i completely didnt wait c4, i expected to see Na5 with planning c4. In such case i was thinking about playing c4 and eventually Nd5 but also there the position of black remains solid. Ok, lets start a new one, this time you will play with white.:D
