SS Victory Question

I'm one turn away from The Laser, about to achieve a space race victory. [dance] But I have a question.

Am I allowed to build something in my capitol, then tab over to the next city and change production to Planetary Party Lounge so it will build the same turn? This lets me launch a turn earlier than normal.

Yes, theoretically speaking, this would just be an example of using the tools in the game to build the things that are available to be built as quickly as possible.

You can also just click on 'what's the big picture' when The Laser is researched, switch to the F1 screen, and then switch production that way. Saves the hassle of trying to make sure a city earlier in the queue in relation to the city pre-building the last part is also completing something that turn.

Thanks to DaveMcW asking this question, because I was wondering the same thing. I used the method Aeson described to build the last SS part the same turn I researched laser in this month's GOTM (15).

Well me thinks anyone using this method should make sure Creepster does it for you because since you have to submit the turn BEFORE you win, he will have to manually do the "scroll ahead" for you, know which city is your prebuild for Planetary Lounge, switch and launch...
Will he really bother doing that for all SS victories ?

Incidentally on my game I had 3 prebuilds going which means I built the UN, the Intelligence Agency and Planetary Lounge on the same turn I launched.

Don't worry, as long as there is a victory condition available we'll figure it out. If you have more than one victory condition set up to be possible, we go by the victory type claimed in the submission (if it's one of those available of course).

There are 2 ways to submit. 1 asks for turn before and 1 for turn after victory. I think they're working on having both ways ask for turn after victory.
