Start Internet turn based -> continue as PBEM later on?

My problem is this.

Begining of a game is always painfully slow. But i like to play PBEM with my friend. Is it possible to start INTERNET game, play some time 30-50 turns and go PBEM after that?

We managed to do that, problem is that i was not able to put any passwords to civs. Anyone have any hints & tips with this problem?

You can start a multiplayer game and than convert it to PBEM! Thanks Taurendil.

The only problem is, when you save and than the player converts it to PBEM and loads it, no one has a password...

It doesnt work the other way around
