So I wanted to give the klingon empire a shot, but what's the idea behind you not founding the warrior's code religion even though you start out with the tech? Some other empire finds the warrior's code religion even though you had the tech to begin with, it doesn't sit well with me. There's no way to found the religion even if I wanted to.

This screenshot sums it all up (warrior's code being founded elsewhere):

Perhaps if you could seperate the finding of the actual religion to an additional tech, that would solve the multiple races starting out with a religion founding tech dilemma (who gets to find the religion when multiple civilizations start out with the tech). The starting tech could be concept of warrior's code and the new tech might be called adopted warrior's code.

That other civ also started with Warrior's Code. If multiple civs have the starting tech for a religion, the game will auto-found it randomly to one of those civs a few turns in the game. If only one civ has the tech, you're guaranteed to get it, but you still have to wait.

EDIT: I could try to add starting advocates, so all civs that found a religion get the advocate; not sure of how easy that would be, and it would require some hardcoding in python.

If that's the way it really works, I'm totally fine with it. The klingon game went badly anyway...

The advocates are in-expensive enough to spread the religion manually, but I'm not stopping you if that's what you want to mod to the game.

Okay, now I get it.

What still bugs me: How can a religion/value spread between lightyears without having contact with the founder civ?

That doesn't sound very realistic to me.

Okay, if you explain it like that I can live with it.

So it's kinda like RFC: A 'What if'-scenario, but in the Star Trek universe.

BTW, I know you didn't compose it yourself, but compliments on the (especially Federation and Klingon) diplomacy music. I think I'll put them on my MP3-player.

The first era theme music is a little dull, though.
