State religion - Confucianism

I'm all for switching to a state religion now we found Confucianism. I know it leads to an additional turn of anarchy but it will already give Equus Aurum +1 .

We also have a Missionary that we can send to whatever city we choose to give it Confucianism (NotA is the obvious choice in my opinion).

I see no reason not to adopt Confucianism as our state religion.

Definitely change the religion those extra happy faces will help us a lot in the cities that have already reached their happiness limit. Also on a side note I've very pleased to see Equus Aurum as our holy city, the Confucian wonder will help our commercial city become even greater than we've envisioned so far.

Given the French city next to City#2, dutchfire and I coined the idea of sending the missionary to City#2 to give it an additional cultural buffer. EA would then produce a missionary when it can and send it to NotA, if that's still needed.

1. Have we considered the threat Caesar poses? If he is high in power and being Buddhist, it would cause problems. He has that kind of personality. Plus we have a weak military at the moment.

2. Religion could also press via roads. We may not even need a missionary for NotA at all, if we're lucky.

Also: City#2 is closest to Bismarck, who is current a heathen. If we can "influence" him to convert to Confucianism too then we have one smaller threat.

I personnaly wouldn't change to Confucianism, but I can agree with the switch. It obviously has happiness benefits.

The missionary should be send to Coppertown to increase our cultural influence over the copper and the region. This cities copper might be vital to the survival of the whole civilization, it's well worth a missionary.

Who do we have Open Borders with?

Do any Civs have no religion?

If we can get the Missionary to the capitol of a Civ with no religion yet it may be worth doing that to help spread our religion further afield.

We have open borders with Rome and Germany, Rome is buddhist, but if my memory serves Germany doesn't know the world of the gods yet, France is also not taken by any religion, however we have closed borders with them, and are considering them hostile

Before we can spread our religion beyond this 1st missionary, we either need monotheism for organized religion or a monastery.

I usually spread it to the capitol, but see the benefits of sending the 1st missionary to the copper town.
