While I love Info Addict, I am obsessed about numbers, data and statistics, so I need MORE. MORE INFO. More percents, more data! So I decided to create my own mod which will provide some more or less obscure info for freaks like me.

I plan to make it similar to Info Addict but featuring different data for each civilization.

MILITARY STATISTICS
- Number of land units
- Number of naval units
- Number of air units
- Number of nukes
- war - peace turns during the game
- units killed – lost during the game
- Barbarians killed
- citizens killed – lost during the game (I mean conquering cities)
- total experience gain by all units during the game
- number of wars during the game
- Total Defense Indicator (defense of all cities)
- Defense per City (defense of all cities divided by number of cities)
- Military Expenses (unit maintenance divided by income)
- Military Expenses per capita (unit maintenance divided by population)

GEOGRAPHIC STATISTICS
- Number of land tiles
- Number of SEA tiles
- Combined number of tiles
- Tiles Discovered
- Improved tiles ratio
- Number of improvements
- Roads
- Railroads
- Citizens
- Citizens per city (citizens divided by cities)
- Population Density (citizens divided by number of land tiles)
- Forests and jungles percentage
- Deserts percentage
- Flat Terrain/Hills Ratio

GENERAL RANKINGS
- GDP
- GDP per citizen!
- Science output
- Technologies Researched
- Total Cost of all Technologies Researched
- Technologies stolen by spies
- Average Science Output per City
- Science per capita
- Production per capita
- Happiness per capita
- Culture per capita
- Number of buildings
- Golden age turns during the game
- Great People born during the game
- World Congress Delegates
- Total City State Influence
- Average City State Influence
- Human Development Index (technologies discovered + social policies enabled + GDP divided by population)

UNIT STATISTICS
- Distance Travelled
- Kills
- Total Damage Dealt


Any additional suggestions for cool statistics? :D

also, this thread will be used if I will have huge problems with implementing particular data via lua.
 
for units killed – lost during the game I assume you mean as examples

Civ Greece has killed 12 units and lost 6 units
Civ America has killed 0 units and lost 3 units

It might be fun to show how many swordsmen Alexander has killed or lost, as CIV2 (I think) did. Might be too difficult to do because mods can add units to the game.:sad:

Perhaps Barbarians Killed might be easier to add to your list.

Also work in Total City-State Influence somewhere? Average City-State Influence as well?

Units Killed - Lost yeah I mean that. However I think calculating that for each unit type would be pointless ;)

Distance travelled - occasional I've wondered just how far my scout has walked (or in one very weird tiny islands game, just how far the work boat that circumnavigated the map had actually travelled!)
 
This suggestion is also cool! Unfortunately I am pretty sure I have no skills to do that... If you or someone else would write a lua code for calculating that I could implement it in the mod ;)
 
I'm liking the sound of this mod. :) I'd like to see a lot more tech stats though.

How about... Number of Technologies, Total Cost of all Technologies Researched (it's an even more accurate way to judge your science output throughout the whole game), Projected Science Overflow for Next Research Project (like, if you have 100 :c5science: left until your next tech, and you're putting out 200 BPT, how much will be added to the next research project), Average Science Output per City, and maybe some other technology stats.

For military, I like what we have so far, but how about Total Number of Turns Spent In a War?

By the way do you think Statistic Heaven or Pure Numbers is better name for this mod?
 
Hmmm.... they're both pretty good, but I'd go with Statistic Heaven, since you mentioned this was inspired by Info Addict, which doesn't just contain "Pure Numbers". There are a few lines and letters in there too. :lol:

And I would actually change the name to "Statistician's Heaven". We want the mod to be heaven on earth for people who love numbers, not for the numbers themselves. ;)

That would be my vote too. For AgressiveWimp's reasons but also because when I clicked on the thread the first time, the thread title made me expect to see something different than what you are going to do.

Also, how about Cities Founded, Cities Captured, Cities Lost, Cities Puppeted, Cities Razed.

I mean, if your going to be completist with the statistics you include, you may as well be completely completist! :D
 
Your quote in post #10 is to an entirely different thread, tho. And I haven't seen Krajzen on the civ5 Creation & Customization modding forum in a long time, though he may be active in one of the 'project' subforums or the unmodded civ5 "Main" forum.
