I have this bvery fine roman game until I sailed my gallys to another island. Here are some info, I am playing in emporer, there is two huge islands and I control one of them i have hrse and iron, I am on chivarly. For some dunghole reason, the germans that I just met from another island declared war on me, I have the great Lighthouse and I am 3 turns away from finishing Sun Tu Zua War of art. I wiped out the other two civlizations I met in my island out with my legionarys. I havve 10 Legions and 5 pikemans at my port city waiting for all my gallies to come. I had a D-Day before this, but I failed. I don't want to lose antoher third of my army for nothing please give advice.

If they're on another island, then it'll probably be a while before they attack your island. I once ran into the Zulus on another land mass, they declared war on me around 750 BC. Between 750 BC and 1500 AD, the Zulus didn't come near me. In 1500 AD I finally got around to putting some troops into galleons and invading them.

Yes, like YNCS said, if you're alone, just make sure your cities are all defended in case they land a few units by one of them sometime on. Otherwise, you can afford to probably wait a little while and build up a larger invasion force. They key is to have more than enough force to win. When you do land, obviously you want to land on a mountain or a hill, especially with the 3 defense legionary.

10 legions should be enough to capture one city on Emperor difficulty. But you won't be able to conquer the Germans with that many. I would take a city, make them pay for peace, then start shipping knights over to the city. When you have enough knights you can declare war again.

By the way, you don't need to say "Advice Needed" in a strategy forum topic. We give advice in every thread. :)

BUILD TONS OF KNIGHTS!
I like to think of them like this.:
They have the attack of Medieval Infantry
The Defense of a Pikman
and the movement of a Horsemen.

THEY ARE GOOD!
