Where to start, that is the question. On my PC game I was close to nuking Hiawatha. But now I only had my Mac and thought I could do a perfect game, from all the lessons learned from my PC game.

CiV on a MacBookPro I5 laptop with ssd can't do huge maps. I learned this the hard way. It just gets overheated. So first limit was map size. Had to stick to standard map, and so picked Fractal. New Random seed and Raging Barbarioans. Prince level.

But here comes the cheating part. I manually selected my other civs. England, Mongolia, Rome, China, Greece, Usa, Songhai etc etc and made sure either Egypt nor France was on the map. And I had to work hard for this 'intrusion on randomness'. Becuase as the mac version don't remember your play setup, I had to select them all from the advanced menu for each restart. And I restarted, and restarted, and restarted. *peew* That was annoying.

Finally I got the map I wanted. I see my first settler near a river with grassland and hills in a nice combo. Before buildning my first scout in 5 turns, My warrior have found +1 citizen and +20 culture, and also stumbled upon a site just north of my capital. Mountains! 2 Wheet next to a river and hills as well. Now it would share some tiles with my capital but as I like specialists this would not be a huge problem, both cities do have space to grow in.

Capital do
- Scout
- Scout
- Worker
- Settler

My first scout immediatly hits on a weapons promotion ruin. Turns it into an archer. I like when that happens. Usually use that great archer to pick out barbs. But this time I also find the culture state of Florence. It has two barb camps next to it. Barbs literaly spawn inside their borders or just next to it. So my archer with no terrain penalty can just start picking them off. Also why this was my first game I opened Honor before Tradition. +6 culture for every barb and also soon got to be friends and ally with Florence. Never happen so early in a game before. The extra culture gave me an enormous boost.

After my first settler I start on the the Pyramids. While my first settler moves to settle my soon to be science city.

Duly note that the pyramids gives +1 engineering and hence I will continue with building a library and then stonehenge and the great wall. The great wall is as many others had said, better to build yorself than have anyone else built it, especially not england or china.

But I built the great wall for that extra +1 engineering. And in good time. To my north is Rome. They don't like me very much. And they want to expand near my science city. Complete halt to all wonders and a focus on archers. And why not do another settler while at it. I have found that if you wait with the third city you delay your national wonders, and so it is better to grow three cities at the same time. Library for the National Collage and later you will do Barracks for the Heroic Epic. And what not. Better to have your three cities in sync. I suppose this works even better if you play Rome.

Now I have Rome to the North, Usa to my southeast, England due south and China to my west.

While busy growing, Rome and England declares war. Of course. That should be expected. Except I have The Great Wall and archers. Bring it on.

For Science I am working towards Education, and for India growth I don't miss out on Civil Service. This is key for a tall empire.

And here is my main setup:
Capital - Huge. Engineering, Culture and Gold. (+great engineers)

Science city: - Large. Science, only science and anything that adds to great people. (+science)

Money City: - Largish. Culture and Gold. (+great merchant, +great artists)

Now every time I get a new great engineer, as my capital is huge and have hills, I rather have them build manufacture in science city and money city. The effect of this is that I now have three cities that can build wonders very fast, and specialize at that. Capital builds any wonder that has +engineering in it. Science city builds anything that has +1 science to it (why it gets to build Hagia Sofia) and third city gets to build anything that don't really fit, which makes it into a gold/artist city even if capital will do better in both.

Duly note that at this time I have worked hard to get to Civil Service and Education. Now it is time to trek up the Sailing, all the way up to where I can build an Observatory. Together with Porclein Tower and all the goodies gives 200% science all my great scientists build academy near the science city.

Now it is time to up the ante on war. But what I really want is Machinery for Crossbowman and then work towards Fertilizer for more growth.

Crossbowmen makes Romes legions look silly when they die, and England and China are so far behind they are hardly a threat. But my great artists are a threat to them. I use my great artists to culture bomb myself into Rome and England, cutting them off from lux they have and then some. They respond with war of course. Well, with crossbowmen and The Great Wall, bring it on. Only xp for my troops.

Time to go for Artillery and Infantry. I don't think I have built a Musketmen ever. Nor a Rifleman. I just let my crossbows do my dirty work until artillery takes over and then there is infantry and mechanized infantry. Never built a Tank either.

This far I have played with only 3 cities. Time to change that.

Time to raze a roman city, annex Rome (renamed it into Romed) and do puppets of three cities except a tiny town near the north pole. That is a good spot for SPQR to not develop further.

Time to hurt England. Make two coastal cities puppets and just take London and have to annex it, even if that comes with some unhappiness.

Englands new capital is now only a 3 size city named Xian; stuck between me, Mongolia, China and Greece. Guess they'll have some war fun while I focus on Usa.

Washington have been creepy. Settled Chicago to the south-east just to annoy me. But also got a settler through my open borders north-west of me and settled Seattle on my shores. That was a mistake Mr. President.

Let's liberate and Nuke. Let's play your game.

Seattle was a non-contest. Taken and annexed. I'm generating so much culture and money now that annexing seems like a good idea. With +600 gold per turn I can afford a courthouse. Chicago no problem. Puppet. And then I am looking at New York and Philadelphia. Nukes! I need only two of them. - Kaboom! - Kaboom!

That worked. Usa wants a good peace-treaty (for me), but what I didn't know was that Askia and De Kahn had troops in the area and they felt nuked, so they declared war. oh well, might as well go forward.

Askia had the sanity to sue for peace. While the Kahn could not really grasp the difference between my mechanized infantry and stealth bombers against his riflemen and horsemen(!)

Now I had now about 20 cities puppeted and about 12 workers ready to do railroads

(compare to ahawk 'I just felt like railroad-making' http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=456363)

,all while thinking that Alexander have that extra alluminium and uranium I could use. Not sure for what, but better me have it than him.

So I did that extra push and engulfed Alexander the Great in 1936.

Time to end the game.

Doing over 2300 per turn in science, researching the nano-tech was listed at 7 turns. But a RA with China gave it to me faster. And then I just built the last part I needed and leave the planet.

All this time me and China had never been in conflict. RA and open borders and me selling resources and open borders and what not. But not one single battle.

My End Game video I'd like to see:

Wu Zetian: - But Darth wu Gandhie, I thought we should rule this planet as father and wife?

Darth Gandhi: - Think again batman. I'm leaving for Alpha Centauri. Oh, the americans might be a tad ticked off for having all that nuclear waste on their soil. You deal with that, m'kay *over-n-out*

Darth Gandhie: - Would have been even funnier if you was Oda dressed up as a Geisha. Now you go clean up that nuclear waste, that's an order. *really over-n-out*

Wu Zetian: - Grrr!

The End.

Is there any way to make the replay map into a video I can post on like youtube?

There's a way to replay a game, and I guess you could do that and just record it.
