Has anyone else seen this?

I played as England on a huge map. On the east border I had just ended a lengthy war with the Germans then another nations declared war at the western border. So... I started moving my units across the map and in the middle a city started fighting my own units as the tried to pass by! They also attacked workes moving around trying to clear pollution (autocleaners).
When I later on returned to the game (loading a saved game) they didn't attack any more. Just a strange bug and somewhat humours as well in weird kind of way :king:

I´ve heard of others seeing this bug too. It´s especially nasty in that if you have autoworkers and "don´t show moves for automated units" your workers will be killed without you ever knowing about it (at least not until you start to wonder where thet all are). :(

Yeah, I have heard others report this one too. I have no clue as to what triggers it, though. Luckily it has never happened to me. ;)

Yeah, I had this happen once. Very late in the game after I started a nuclear war (I was the only one with nukes  ). A couple of times I was moving my units through my territory they went through a city and was attacked. Now that's what I call a 'Friendly Fire' casualty. :( Then my 50+ automated workers were running out of things to do, and were heading back into a city and were being slaughtered by the masses. "Here's your reward for your hard work cleaning up that pollution :die!: " Couldn't do nothing to stop it, since they were all on automation  " I was then finding some really strange stuff, like enemy units in MY GARRISON! They were actually in my city! (But I couldn't use them or anything, though.

I posted a thread about this a month or two ago (with screenshot and saved game) , It's titled 'Sharing Units?!' if you want to find it.

Thanks for all the input! Just thought I'd write and state that it seemed like saving the game and then reload it removes the problem. In my game this wasn't a big nuisance as I had like 30-40 tanks and even more workers so the losses didn't actually make any difference. But if the situation had been different... well, gulp! :die!:
BTW, regarding the workers, I think that I on one occation captured 15-20 workers from one german city. AI anyone? I don't think I would have put all my workers in a city that was overwhelmingly threathened by the enemy! :crazyeyes

Yep, when I re-loaded, I no longer had the other civ's units in my capital (but I had other units in other cities, though), and I don't know about the workers, most were probably dead already!

The workers just retreat to the nearest city, so you had a little luck there.
