Greetings,
I was just building up a neat little Russian Empire complete with trade routes when I discovered a strange one between my cities of Vladivostok and Kiev... Apparently Vladivostok is receiving "President" at a rate of 0 trade per turn. Unfortunately i can't check what Kiev is getting from Vlad as there were already 3 routes... maybe they're getting "Despot" or "Consul":D.

Anyways I was just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this...

btw: I'm on my old comp and i'm not exactly sure which version i'm playing or how to check... but I know that its one of the oldest. (The save menu is vertical in Win95 format... remember that one??:p )

Sounds like you made some sort of mistake editing one of the TXT files: RULES.TXT or GAME.TXT, probably. When you try to play at greater than Deity levels it does a similar thing, grabbing a line from a different list (of Reputations or Attitudes) to extend a list. Looks like your list of commodities is running into your list of leaders. Did you change any of the RULES.TXt default civs?

Nope, no changes... I downloaded this though so perhaps the original owner made a few changes?

It has something to do with the rules txt. It was definately changed, though probably inadvertantly. It has hapened to me many a time. Is everything from the units to the terrain changed? If so, I have experienced the same thing. Usualy when you notice it if you load the game, it should revert back. Otherwise, you are stuck doing major editing to revert it all back. So remember to save your game before doing editing, and if you come across that, load the game. The changes you made in the editor will still be there, but the changes in the names (that you didn't make) should be gone.
