I have Civ4 installed off direct to drive patch to BTS 3.19. I'm running BATS Mod 1.2 set to autoload. I have Windows Vista with a brand new ASUS gaming laptop-plenty of RAM available.
Everything was working great until last night. Played fairly late into the night and the game started slowing down. I realized I probably just needed to restart the game, but it was late so I saved my game and shut the system down. Today when I go back to play just as the save is finished loading, I get a message that CIV4 has encountered an error and must shut down. I tried to load some autosaves, same thing. Tried to start a new game, same thing.
Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? I didn't intentionally change anything from a setup that was working great 24 hours ago.
BTW--just to be sure I ran a disk defrag this afternoon and a complete virus scan. No problems there.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
