I was thinking about just how unnecessary complicated the game is since a lot of stuff don't update until you press next turn. Thinking about those stuff - amenity state, build turns, yields - a lot of time don't update until next turn, or in different windows - but i don't want to write about all of those, i would like to focus and discuss what happens when you switch policies.

I would like all the info(mostly basic yields in upper left) that is possible to update and calculate in real time happens while you switch different policy cards but you still don't commit to any of them. For example:

You have a adjacency bonus for some district card and you have a policy card that gives you +yields for international trade routes. Since you know exactly how much districts of some type you have, and you know exactly how many international trade routes you have, you can easily calculate which policy card gets you more yield and which one to actually use to get bigger bonus. Instead of game offering you live calculation and update the number in top left as you switch those two cards, you are practically forced to calculate yourself, scroll around the map, check all the info that is already revealed, if you want to play as effectively as possible.
It's not cheating if game shows you what is the different yield between those two card, it's just convenient. It's just saving you time of losing couple of minutes if you want to know exactly how much different yields those two cards bring you. Most of them even show the different numbers the moment you commit to policy. :S

It doesn't have to update stuff that you can't possibly know, i'm talking about something that is already known to player but it's tedious to actually calculate manually to know exact figure.

It would be so incredibly helpful, but not cheesy or cheating, because that's known info, if you could just swap two similar cards and see live update of the numbers in the top left corner, and then just commit to the one that suits your current strategy. Instead of that you can still know all the numbers, but you need to switch around the cities, manually calculate the difference and then reach the same decision of card choice. You really only lose time on something that computer can calculate in nanoseconds, and you lose couple of minutes.

This is beautiful solution for someone who likes to min max everything.

Game calculates the numbers for any card that you switch while changing policies and updates the numbers for you to see the difference. It shows only the numbers where information for calculation is already known to player but it's tedious and time consuming to calculate exact figures yourself.
Obviously this applies only to eligible simple yield numbers like science, gold, culture... and after you check the difference between couple of policy cards you commit to the one that suits you.
