Couldnt find a thread that seemed to give this answer. I have Civ 5 fully patched and it works fine on DX9 (even DX10/11 technically works, although many of the textures are missing).

I am considering getting all the DLC packs including G&K and I wanted to make sure that the sys req dont jump up from the vanilla version as I am running it on a Toshiba laptop with Intel HD 3000 graphics.

I was suprised that the game plays so well on the onboard vid (low settings of course).

So, thoughts...comments?

You may want to try the demo first. There are added layers, that the patch before G&K was released seemed to indicate that a more robust system was needed. If you have weathered all the patches then technically you are probably safe. There are others that have the HD 3000 who have been having issues, and the solutions given are here, but that was only for a certain error. If you try the game and you do not get any errors, then that will also answer your question.

Just a follow up should someone else need the info. G&K doesnt appear to tax the system any more than vanilla. Its running fine on a Toshiba laptop with Intel HD3000

I thought I remembered hearing one of the devs talk like you would be able to run G&K fine if you could run vanilla ok.I think they may be about the same graphics wise. Not positive, though.
