So... I was reading a lot about table top war games, the kind where you have armies of miniatures. Does anybody have this as a hobby or know anything about it? Is it hard to paint all those soldiers? Is it expensive to get started? I am most interested in Napoleonic warfare, does anybody have any suggestions on getting started?

Thanks!

Tabletop wargaming is a great hobby!:) It can be very time consuming though, most games can take upwards of 3 hours to complete. Painting figures can suck up a long time too, but it depends on how much detail you put into them.

Painting figures can initially be very hard, but with time you will notice that the quality of your painting improves.

You may also want to try and find a club near you, and go along one evening to get an idea of what scales, models, rules etc you like before buying anything.

The hobby can suck up hundreds of pounds over the years; there is always another mini you want, no matter how many you buy! You can sometimes pick up minis cheap by buying them second hand.
