| Download Subscribe | Dome of Soltaniyeh: Unlocked at Machinery. +2 Faith. +1 Great Engineer point. Generates culture by the difference of this city's population and that of your biggest city.| In the centre of Soltaniyeh's several ruins lies the Mausoleum of Ilkhan Öljeitü, traditionally known as the Dome of Soltaniyeh. Its importance in the Muslim world may be compared to that of Brunelleschi's cupola for Christian architecture. It is one of the largest brick domes in the world, just at the theoretical engineering limit for a brick dome and the third largest dome in the world after the domes of Florence Cathedral and Hagia Sophia. The Dome of Soltaniyeh paved the way for more daring Iranian-style cupola constructions in the Muslim world, such as the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi and the Taj Mahal.

| Download Subscribe | Larabanga Mosque: Unlocked at Acoustics. +2 Faith. 15% of this city's base Tourism is added to your Faith generation. +2 Faith per land Trade route connecting to this city. Has a Great Work of Writing Slot.| The Larabanga Mosque is one of the oldest in West Africa, and has been referred to as the "Mecca of West Africa". It has undergone restoration several times since it was originally founded in 1421 (17th century according to some), and these restoration works have revived the knowledge of mud-plaster maintenance. The mosque has an old Quran, believed by the locals to have been given as a gift from heaven in 1650 to Yidan Barimah Bramah, the Imam at the time, as a result of his prayers.

That looks like a really fun wonder. It would be really hard to get a ton of culture out of it, but if you engineer rushed it in a brand new city, it could be amazing. I like wonders that require you to think about where to build them.

This is great! As DoctorMcStuff.. DoctorMcGann says, mods that actually require you to think and plan ahead are just so much more interesting.

A few thoughts, though..
Is the culture output dynamic, as in, does it follow the difference in the populations over time, or is it determined by the difference at the time of the construction of the wonder?
Both things would be cool, IMO, but if the output is dynamic, which would admittingly be the most interesting case, there might be a few things to consider (maybe you've already considered these things or judged them unimportant, in that case, nevermind :D):

1) If you stops growth in the city in which the wonder is built, you could get an extreme culture output! Especially if you've popped a GE to finish the wonder. So maybe the culture output should be capped, at, say the difference when the wonder was first construted. Or maybe even a fixed maximum of, say + 8 Culture (or something..).

2) There should probably also be a minimum to the amount of culture generated, as the output would otherwise be zero if the difference between the populations decreased completely. I know that the wonder would still have both +2 Faith and +1 GE point, and that's acceptable in itself I guess, but still.. when considering the potential culture output of the wonder, +2 Faith and +1 GE point per turn only just doesn't seem as much.
Also, I'm almost sure this isn't the case, but the culture output doesn't become negative if the population of the city with the wonder surpasses the population of the Capital, does it?

3) You've probably considered this, but making it impossible to build the wonder in the capital itself, would probably make the most sense ;)

A final note, the icon is beautiful, but why no love for the typical Civ5 sunburst?

The culture generation is dynamic.

I quite like the idea of having a city named Soltaniyeh housing only the Dome of Soltaniyeh with 1 pop generating tons of culture, almost like a one tile wonder. Anyway, if you make a city just to house it you would be increasing your policy culture costs to generate... More culture. I don't like capping things arbitrarily, so if I nerfed this wonder (Which I don't find that much necessary, since you have to sacrifice one city to make full use of it) I'd just halve the culture output.

Well yes, but that correlates directly to where did you build the Wonder.

Also, I'm almost sure this isn't the case, but the culture output doesn't become negative if the population of the city with the wonder surpasses the population of the Capital, does it?

It doesn't.

3) You've probably considered this, but making it impossible to build the wonder in the capital itself, would probably make the most sense ;)

It would probably help the AI, but there's no reason to limit the player like that. And well, from a historical standpoint, Soltaniyeh was the capital of the Ilkhanate.

It's there, just too dark to see. :p
