Technology Brokering Question

Hey all!

I downloaded this AWESOME mod then proceeded to make a custom game as per standard for starting a new game of CIV. Checked "no technology brokering" and "choose religions" Noble difficulty.

Anyways I am dominating. Pretty sure I have met about everyone and I have never been this far ahead of the pack in terms of technology and population on noble difficulty. I know for a fact I am not playing that much better than usual. The AI is constantly losing chunks of their empires to city-state revolutions... All of the AI are still in the stone age! Is there a variable within the mod that has disadvantaged the AI in my game? Im going to go ahead and take over the world with technologically advanced troops just to learn modded combat but if anyone here knows how to make this more fair next game that would be really appreciated.

(I am going to go on a higher difficulty but it could also be "no technology brokering" option that has set them back.)

I'm assuming you are playing just Rise of Mankind? What version?

With your statement about the AI losing chunks of empires to city revolutions. Try Not using the REVDCM Option, especially if you are using any version of Rise of Mankind (last official version for RoM is 2.92 and REVDCM had a Major bug that never got fixed in this RoM version).

Do you have Tech Diffusion "On"? This allows lagging AI or players to get older techs they are missing over time so that they are only 10-12 techs behind the leaders.

No Tech Brokering means you can't turn around and trade a tech you traded for if it is one that you did not research.

Suggestion, at what level of difficulty do you play vanilla BtS? Now if playing RoM play it 2 levels higher and at a longer game speed setting.

This 2 levels higher thing is great advice. I bumped it up to Prince and the competition is slightly more stiff. Will try the next highest if things are still too much of a cake-walk. Thanks for replying!
