Term 1 - Nominations for Domestic Minister

These are the traditional duties and powers of all ministers:

Post polls and discussions to determine citizen desires for departmental policies, plans and agendas.
Cast a tie-breaking vote in the polls determining their departmental policies, plans and agendas.
Formulate departmental policies, plans and agendas based on citizen feedback.
Formulate departmental policies, plans and agendas of their own in the absence of citizen feedback (forum outage, low participation, etc).
Convey these policies, plans and agendas to the President for play in the game.


These are the duties assigned to the Minister of Internal Affairs:

Organize decisions about settler placement.
Organize decisions about wonder building.
Governor of cities that do not have a provincial governor.
Organize mapping of Provincial Borders
Manage the national budget

That is correct, Noldodan. It would be pretty silly of me to get the names of people wanting to run and not use the information.

Actually, this seems much more like the position I want. And at this point in the game, I think I can handle the large responsibilities. Besides, I'd call on the people for any hard decisions.

I hereby state the unconditional support of Noldodans candidacy to the office for Ministry of Domestic Affairs. His excellent tenure as Provincial Governor for a staggering 10 terms, may be compared to the longevity of the Senate experience of Strom Thurmond and to the execution of office seen by the most premier of US Presidents. We cannot ask for a better Minister of Domestic Affairs than Nodoldan, as he knows exactly what pressing policy issues from the executive level may or may not impact the provincial level.

So for the sake of disseminating valuable experience of these ten terms to other offices, I would strongly emphasize these prevalent and mandatory skills as decisive prerogatives for a succesful delivery of concrete results.

I would also like to invite Noldodan to make a brief statement with Provolution for a tangible and clear platform of the joint and complementary candidacies for the domestic and foreign affairs ministries and how these would interact.

Unfortunately, I won’t be anywhere near a computer during the time that the election threads are up, so I have to campaign now, in this nomination thread. I have been Governor of 3 provinces in the past 3 Demogames, serving a total of 10 terms, a record unmatched by anyone in any office. This gives me great experience in the running of cities, and the Domestic Minister’s primary responsibility is to oversee this. The other responsibility of the Domestic Minister is to organize and guide discussions on city placement and overall strategy for the nation, and I plan to execute this duty after every turnchat, with an update on the current state of our nation and suggestions for the nest turnchat for discussion. And now, I leave on vacation for the week. Good day.

Well, I check in at least twice a day, so a quick reaction to requests is no problem. My priorities, though... It depends. Whatever the nation needs most goes first, of course. A list of what those needs are would be posted in a thread of its own, and discussed after each turnchat.

I would do a thread that each person states his/her argument/facts, with no room for argument, everything in a single listing. The arguments would then be weighed and if a decision cannot be reached or the decision is too large there would be a short debate over what to do, with a poll at the end. The priorities of projects are based on the priorities of the country and the people. My personal priorities are infrastructure first.
