Do you mean 1 thread that announces all, or 9 threads that congratulate each umm winner? Sorry, you have to remember that i wasn't here for the Civ3 DGs and THis has never happened before!

Just post one thread congratulating everybody.

You post something like this:

Title: Term 3 Elections for XYZ
Subject: ABC was the only nominee and wins!

That's what it's a good idea to read the history books (archives)! :old:

Or he could just post one thread, congratulating all of the uncontested elections in one place, and cut out the extra spamming involved with you suggestion. ;)

*listening to to two people with more posts than he could ver dream of arguing* ummm... ummm..... How bout we comprimise and i post one thread, but congratulated everyone on a different post?*ducks*

It doesn't really matter, do it whichever way you prefer. Back when I ran elections, I always just made one thread for all of the uncontested elections. Saves time and forum space.

If you want to increase your post count though, post them individually. The mods won't care.

I found this in the Octavian Code, [*]Individual threads with polls shall be posted for all contested elections.
&
[*]The results for elections that have only one contestant or which had no contestants shall be validated after all polls for contested elections have been posted.

So i have nothing to go on but precedent, and yet precedent cannot always be looked to, as we are blazing a new path for the Civ4 DG. This seems to be moot for a couple days anyways, because i cannot validate until the polls close. So for now i would like a dicusstion to take place. THe people must guide me in the endeavor. So any and all opinins will be noted and the patented Swiss Countencance Post Poll System.(SCPPS) May be used.

Mmmmmm, Swiss Cheese :yumyum:

It doesn't really make a difference to me.

I remember the elections when there was a single thread with the results of every election, and remember it felt strange in later elections to see an individual thread for each uncontested election. The individual thread posted at the beginning of elections makes it clear that the poll was not forgotten / overlooked, but it's also nice to see the results in one place. How about doing both? :crazyeye:

ok but ignoring the obvious important issue of how the results are going to be represented just what are we going to do with a lack of chief justice? i wont even pretend i know the rules well enough to run for this posistion :)

Lets wait then have a special election if anyone who loses a position wants to run. I think we will get involvement once we get out of the early game

The President appoints a Chief Justice if the office is vacant.

Problem is, what if no one wants the Chief Justice poistion. We can't really launch a Judicial review about the issue if it does happen.

never mind..i found it....

yer if someone wanted to be chief justice then they would have ran for it, we can hardly force someone to be.
