The new office of the M.I.A. Defence team is now open. :hammer:

Have a look at the lovely new building that I have been able to convert from a former library into a state of the art Military Academy.

For reference here is the previous office. Term 7 Ministry of Defense

Here is our status compared to the other nations of the world.

As you can see we will need lots of money when we do eventually upgrade to our full potential. We could always get Leo's so this could help our bottom dollar. Perhaps this is a sound investment. ;) Get the idea. We right now have 46 cities so if we were to have Sun's then we will right now be saving 7GPT, while this is not that important, what is, is the fact that we can have a barracks in every newly conquered KISS city and thus help with the healing process of our military. Perhaps this is another good Wonder to have. It is not a good idea. Thanks to the reasoning of the President. I do not think that I will get anyone to think that any other Military Wonders will be good for us, so i will not ther to even try and convince other to go for them.

Here is my aim for this term. That we become the most powerful military in the planet and the way we are going to do that is by having the most up to date navy and army, and soon this might include flying things, but I will let our geeky guys figure a way to do that, but we must be the best of the best.

Many thanks go to gbno1fan for running this office while I was out of action. :thanx: :goodjob:

Damn these new building and having to take my shoes off before entering

Carpetbomb has been razed ... TNT seem confident that they will wipe KISS invasion force out next turn.

We will seee if this happens and if it does then it is a good day for this nation since it means that any attack on KISS might have a better chance of succeeding since they have not been doing as well as they thought they would be, which is a lesson that we should learn, because we must plan any war with great precision because we must never underestimate our enemy. Either we go into full war mode or we do not, because we will be wasting our time.

What do you think about not upgrading our horses until we are threatened ... it will be a surprise which could lull any potential enemy into false security?

I would also say the same regarding upgrading hoplites to muskets.

I was thinking thsame thing because we must get thinking we are not as powerfull as we can be be. Also this will mean that we should build as many Knights as possible because we need to have this assurance that we can have as many before we get Military Tradition.

Sun Tzu's I wouldn't bother getting - as you said it is only 7 gpt which is not worth 600 shields. As far as getting free barracks in captured KISS towns, I'm not sure how many we are likely to capture as opposed to raze.

Leo's is a more worthwhile investment, but I feel reasonably sure KISS is building that with their Pyramids prebuild. Leo's is the wonder that makes the most sense for KISS because they don't have Chivalry. Their military choices right now are MDI/longbows (which are slow, borderline obsolete already, and have a terrible upgrade path), or horsemen which cost a small fortune to upgrade to cavalry. I am betting they are building Leo's and will build horsemen once TNT is history. If they are building Leo's in their capital, then we have no chance of beating them to it except via an SGL.

HM Bellerophon ... Move S then NW onto the mountain.

Do we really want to end a turn in Dnut territory immediately after sending them a note saying:

we have, like you to us in the past, a requirement that both teams respect each others borders.

The Dnuts units in our territory is a settler pair - I'm sure cutting through was just a means to get to their settlement location earlier. Our knight has no such excuse.

Also, I assume we want to upgrade the Snarling Narwhal into a caravel this turn?

@ Chamnix ... I see no problem is entering Nut's territory and will be happy to send them a note.

If this is concidered an aggressive move on our part, I am happy for you to make the move. I think it is important concidering that they have moved into our territory and not moved out in their turn ... therefore think it is best for us to make this move. Our main mission for the Knight is to unblack as much as we are able to before we are prohibitted from doing this. Nut's with their Pyramid will be quickly settling the entire continent.

Hmmmm ... I wonder if instead of disbanding them, that they can be shipped to Silken Glove or newly renamed Eurika Stockade.

This will assist with any culture flipping problems we may have with our Battle Isle cities.

That sounds good - just want to make sure you're aware - this will be our last chance at a barbarian on our continent. Our next settler (the one after Swamp Sheppard) will permanantly clear that camp.
(Just an fyi)

Our next settler is not due for another 4 turns or so, and it will take 3-4 additional turns of walking. We may get a chance at 1 more barbarian.

I have posted this idea in Domestic, but post here as it is Military related.

Question ... Should we churn out some additional Hoplites in one city only. :mischief:

Reason ... they are cheap in shields and therefore quick to produce. :)

Why Bother ... are you paranoid or something ya crazy old <censored> ?!!

1. They can easily be upgraded to Muskets (an effective defender) with gold ... something that we have no problem accumulating.
2. This gives us additional security to upgraded when needed or even disbanded (with no great loss to our overall production) if we feel.
3. They will not dramatically alter the Military Strength data and therefore be an effective surprise if (or when) we are attacked.
4. One city dedicated to Hoplite production will not dramatically alter the Knight (our main unit) production.

We should start this process straight away because as soon as Saltpeter is hooked up, we lose the ability to produce them.

Query ... what is the timeline of the saltpeter hookup ??

Regarding Saltpeter, due to the fact that it is 2 tiles from the front ... should we also dedicate a worker to begin fortification of the mountain?

I am also suggesting that it may be wise to secure another supply, either by diplomatic agreement or by settling ourselves.

Just thinking ahead :salute: ... Thoughts?
