hi. i've got test of time, and it can't/won't load the gane of the month .sav file. is there a way around this?

a ha, now it works, thanks 
though it also converted the ToT graphics to the old-school style. i'd just gotten used to the graphics and layout of ToT...
is there a way to have the ToT graphics and still be able toplay GOTM and scenarios?
also, i tried changing the graphics for some pieces once and completely f--ked it up. i learnt that using microsoft paint and cutting/pasting pics wasn't the way to do it.

lol, my hard drive would hate me if i did that. it's already got Civ 3 sitting on it, waiting for me to get a new monitor so i can play the damn thing

Yes, as your signature asks, are you sure? Civ 3 no good? it looks nice. the manual read well. I like it when you buy a game and it has a huge manual. I thought half of it would be in frnech and japanese, but no I was pleasanlty surprised.
