People who love the Nemo units, unite! We must destroy the ANGA revolution!:goodjob: :king: :scan:  :nuke:

well I must say that I love the "Nemo-style". I don't think it's cartoonish I just thinks it fits the game and the terrain better. :goodjob:

You know that I'm in, Nemonesque is not cartoonish, it's stylish! :goodjob:

You get my vote. Not that I don't like all non Nemo-esque graphics - just poorly ripped scans.

BTW, what's wrong with cartoons anyway? :)
can you imagine if Walt Disney or Matt Groening had scanned and reduced their pictures from the internet

Go Nemo graphics :goodjob:

indeed! we must crush these hi-res infidels before they ruin our game playing forever with "realistic" graphics! nemo forever!

I suggest that we immediately change name, from the very negative-sounding "protest-movement-esque" ( ;) ) Anti ANGA and create our own identity: The Nemonesque Graphics Association - NGA... :D
And I suggest that we go innovative by copying the terms and conditions of the ANGA with a few changes... :D ;)

gazza, of course non-Nemonesque graphics can be just as good, but the style of the Nemonesque ones is greater... :goodjob:

...:D

Pah! Your puny Anti-ANGA movement will not last long. Soon people will realise that they have been brainwashed by sitting through the first turn of Red Front so many times! Long live Hi-Res!

My argument is that the "Nemo" graphics are Hi-Res.

Much sharper looking, much easier to see what the units are, and the units have much more personality.

Pap

go nemo units! HiRes sucks the chrome off of a trailer hitch!

There are several not-so-apparent reasons why the Nemoesque unit style will always be superior to the so-called "hi res" graphic reduction technique;

1.) The Nemoesque style always has that uniform appeal. All the unit graphics, no matter how you mix n' match 'em, look like they fit together. Having so many Nemoesque graphics to choose from gives designers a very broad range for creativity within the scenario-making process.

2.) The "overlap" of periods is also a factor. Because the Nemoesque graphics range from Sumerian to contemporary, virtually any era or period can be recreated.

3.) The community of Nemoesque graphics users is also an asset to the scenario designer. When one needs a specific graphic, all that is usually required is a visit to the ScenLeague thread where such things are done and request what is needed. There are several superb Nemoesque graphics makers and modifiers who will not only be happy to help, but often rise to the challenge posed with verve and ingenuity. And once again, the newly-created unit can be counted on to fit together well with any other Nemoesque unit mix.

Just my thoughts.

;)

hey all, i hate being a mean mod like some of the others, but could you all make a single thread debating Nemo graphics vs. Hi-resolution graphics.
Thank ya :)

Perhaps we should just start a thread called "Nemo vs. Hi-res"... :goodjob: (?)

I'll join NGA and we should make a giant debate thread :goodjob:

well make one thread then and let this one die :)

I say the same here as I said on kobayashi's hi-res thread!

Stop this silliness!

We need to stick together!
