Horse archers are great, they start with AccuracyI and with Barracks you get to AccuracyII and you then only need AccIII and can take logistics. Its fairly easy to get very powerful logistic HAs fast. They are the Keshik of the Ancient and Classical era. On open terrain they easily destroy even pikes.

I greatly enjoy using Conquistadors to capture and settle the Natural Wonders of another continent: they just define the whole tactic.

In terms of fun to use, I'd say they are top tier.

(Sadly, the Tercio is snore-boring. At least they look good.)

CKN's with Chinese Great Generals (+30%!) can be absolutely devastating and I had great fun with them earlier on in my current game (which I really must finish before BNW!). Ive never played against them but Ill be watching out for AI China in the future for sure.

Tough tie between Immortal and Longbowmen... I suppose I'll go with the former merely because an Immortal-based army with a few upgraded to Medic are crazy powerful.
