48 hours sounds good. If they do not respond, we will need to take other nominations and such, or just go without until the next election.

The department of the Council Members is holding a citizens' poll for accepting the Amendments to the Constitution. Please cast your vote here:

Citizens Poll: Constitutional Amendments

The officials all thank your for your participation and co-operation.

Edit:
PS, Immortal, if you haven't seen my message yet, can you remove the officials' names from your oringal post? I will keep everything up-to-date in my first post.

No, i'd rather not take the position.

Not only do I not know what this position is or does, I don't have the time to do so sadly.

I don't know why you want a junior AND a senior though... seems awfully redundant.

Since I didn't win the first time I think I'll stick to condemning the position from afar. "Ha! What a stupid and insignificant positon!"

There. I'm finished.

Go ahead and have an election, I was kind of let down that I only got two votes but now I don't really care. I only wanted the position for its "political power and prestige."

I haven't been on for about 2-3 days, and the whole thing about "protecting the people's interests" just seems a bit iffy to me. Besides, I kinda agree with Ohwell in that the position is redundant. All you do is read posts. And then vote. One person should be enough to fill this position, unless you want a whole "citizens' council" of 5-6 people pouring over threads night and day "protecting the people's interests."

Frankly, that seems like more work than I want to do ;)

"Protecting people's interest" is my interest, not my responsibility. I opened this thread to it so that people would be encouraged to speak their mind, and I guess you did. So, I will thank you.

I feel I have a position of some power & responsibility, to accurately represent the will of the people, in their voting, for the sake of the cabinet. A two-person team has worked even better, since we are both not here 24 hours a day. In the same respect, other departments have deputies. Here, we both have equal responsibilities, but only differ in that the Senior position is higher in the CoC, yet I do not expect us to be called any time soon, based on our CoC position.

Can one person handle it? Perhaps. It is not a big responsibility. Can 0 people handle it? Probably, but would require the specific attention of another cabinet member. Is the game better off with a cabinet member or 2 representing the citizens in the cabinet? I think so.

Thanks, Immortal. For the purpose of cabinet polls, does my vote count twice so that the citizens maintain 2 votes? I've been voting with Immortal all along, so I don't see how things would change.

I think this would set a bad precedent. We've been maintaining that 1 player gets 1 vote, no matter how many seats they hold.

What do you think about Deputies for the At-Large positions? That way there would be someone to step up in dire times such as these. Maybe one deputy for the two seats?
