The Disappearing Yield Issue

I think everyone is aware of the bug where sometimes yields disappear from the map. You have to unclick and reclick the yields overall to get back.

Something I have noticed. I used to play on small maps, and see the bug here and there (but never to a major concern). Now that I have increased to standard size...the bug is rampant.

I believe G has said there isn't really anything to be done in the mod, is this somehow memory related? Has anyone found any adjustments to reduce or eliminate the issue?

It happens every single time the turn ends. Extremely annoying, the vision change was barely worth it with this. I guess maybe a lot of people play with yields hidden?

I thought it had something to do with the caching introduced. It never did it before, but maybe for the last year, 1 1/2 it's been every turn.

It's almost certainly hardware related.

i'm not so sure. when it happens you can actually get the yields back if you adjust the camera view to the right position / move around the map a little; there is always a sweet spot when viewed at that the yields are still there. sweet spot varies from game to game but does seem to always include zooming out to the max, which should actually be more intensive for the comp given youre now rendering more stuff.

ive seen it regularly on standard and small, map size has made no difference in my obs.

I usually notice it when having cities near the edges of the map vertically, and it is very annoying.

I do play with yield hiden, but EUI automatically shows yields when selecting a worker/settler (and inside cities) and hide them when selecting another unit. I don't see any other cases where I would need to see yields.

Fast solution: click 'y' twice. Every turn, though.

with the additional downside that inside a city, you then have to check "Show Citizens again...

I often look at what tiles a city is working by hovering over it (an EUI feature), that's where I miss the yields the most.

Yeah, I often see people mentioning this, but I have no idea what they talk about. I play large/huge non-EUI by the way.

When I select a worker, I can see yields on all tiles (which I find rather mildly annoying than helpful), but that's it.

You do know you can turn that off in the Game Options screen...

Yes, I've had this issue both in unmodded and in VP and it annoys me a LOT.

The reset works in VP with the minor inconveniense of switching city view but even failed to work for me in unmodded.
In unmodded I had to drag the map around and yeilds would appear again (that would not work for me in VP).

Would very much appreciate a solution.

Edit: I play standard size pangea or fractal.

I did not, thanks. But I will probably forget until I play again :) Not a big deal for me anyway, just an aesthetic thing.

I just wanted to make sure that people were really talking about this.

Happens almost every turn in the early to mid game for me, but ceases to be an issue in the late game weirdly enough. Double-pressing Y fixes it. EUI.

I noticed this happened to me when I upgraded my computer. It started happening (along with other visual quirks with the InfoAddict mod) when I got a Windows 10 computer
