one thing i've learned throughout my many years of playing video games is that to become better faster, you should start off playing hardest difficulty level. sure, you'll get your rump stomped a few times but you learn more things quickly whereas trying to move up the difficulty ladder will impede your progress. this is an obvious note to some but for those just starting, instead of wasting time learning things on easy level (which will likely be no good to you once you advance to harder levels), try starting out with challenges. you'll learn a whole lot more in a shorter amount of time.

yep, that's true... you pick up bad habbits when playing on lower levels.

They only exception is that playing agains other players is even better then against the AI, but that goes without saying !

if only we had the opportunity...

Hehe, you sound like my old wrestling coach! "You don't get better by wrestling lesser-skilled opponents!" (maybe not, but it sure as hell can be fun!). ;)

Maybe its not tha same with Civ three...

I dont like BEATING(well, I do) thats neva my aim, your thinkin the next thing Im gonna say is I like havin fun(which i do) but its not.

Its the challenge.

As soon ass u beat it on diety, thats it, you've beaten the game, you've become a master but at what expense, I play my way up, so I can squeeze as much challenge out of the game as I can.

Being good doesnt mean anythin to me.

like we said earlier, "IF" they come out with multi-player edtion, that's where the REAL challenge is.

So you're like that guy that played every level of pacman and then quit the game...
Seemed silly to me !
Once you've beaten the game on deity with one kind of victory, try to beat it with another kind of victory. It becomes a whole different game ! And there are  5  ways to win !

I would strongly recommend to start slowly, and soak up all the coolness anbd strategy of civ3(I hoipe)
Dont get caught up in the race to be the best.
