I recently got a new hard drive and ever since I haven't been able to play any of the CivIII games. I've been through absolutely every solution there is and I can't get them to work. CIII Vanilla will start but will close after the the screen where you select the terrain and all that, PTW and Conquest won't load at all and keep giving me the font loading error box.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled all of them to different hard dirves, from different CD drives, I've patched them, I've updated WinXP and all of my drivers, I've done the manually copy LSANS.TTF thing and I've made sure absolutely *nothing* is running while I try to play the games. I've done all of this repeatedly and none of it has worked.
Is there *anything* else that I can do to get these games to work?
