This is my first game that i'm playing on earth map. As you can tell from my post count i'm new and i have no idea how to take screenshots so help would be apreciated. My keybored is bad so forgive bad spelling. Plz be gentle when you insult me for doing somthing stupid i'm prone to mistakes

This game will be warlord or diff. after that i am relativly new to this game and help would be nice. I'm off to start my game hopefully i don't lose

For a screenshot- on windows, hit "Print Screen" and then ctrl+v onto paint. For a mac, shift+apple+3, and open the .pdf file on your desktop.

As for spelling- we don't mind typos, but would appreciate if you try to use proper grammar, full sentences, capitalization, etc. We DON'T enjoy reading "the egypt sed peace plz but i sed no."

It started me off roughly in California i have no screen shots but will soon. I founded the capital and Named it Detroit after where i live. I started by the rocky moutains so i was sure there would be some iron so i started to mass produce warriors. I sent one off to the east and i found the ottomons at the mexico/Texas border. They only have 1 city Istanbul guarded by a warrior i'll remember to keep a warrior there to keep checking on that. After that i send a settler north to build the city of MetalKingdom for 2 reaons 1.) THat is where i would get iron from . 2.) If you have ever seen a metal album cover you've seen the influence from the vikings. I later find the mongols on the eastren seaboard i buy iron working for 120 gp. One day the mongols will realize the mistake they made selling it to me for so low. Lucky enough metalKingdom was made on iron so i have a source and a road to connect it to my Capital. I upgrade 5 warriors to swordmen and lucky enough The ottamons still only have 1 city but now it has at least 1 spearman. So do i attack or do i wait?

In addition to Tasslehoff's advice about screenshots, be sure to save them as jpegs for uploading. Don't worry too much about catching flak for making mistakes. As you've said, you're relatively new to the game and I think you'll find that the CFC denizens are pretty understanding about the learning curve involved here.

Now, as to your game: First of all, what civ did you choose and what version is this? It's a little hard to offer advice on whether to attack with the information given. We don't know where Istanbul is, what sort of terrain it's on, etc. At Regent, however, if the Ottomans only have one city, and that city's on flat ground, it quite likely could be taken by 5 swords. Just be sure that you do not have any units in their territory when you declare and use the terrain to your advantage, should you decide to attack.

Hey! Welcome to Civfanatics! Like Tasslehoff said, we do not mind typos, but try to check your spelling and grammar before posting. If a word has a red squiggly line under it, the word's probably spelled incorrectly. If there's a green line (I've never seen one, but they probably are here), it means that you've got a grammar mistake.

I'm the vikings there is a moutain that i have 3 swords stationed and 2 more to capture there workers shoud i wait or attack and ya i'm playin on regent. going to get my haircut so i'm off.

Siguis a young warrior led a 1,000 man army to the ottoman city of Istanbul. He was the only son of the royal family of Ragnar his brother was killed in a previous war fought with the warring barbarian tribes.

He was day dreaming again thinking of the past he cursed silently there was a battle to be won. The world would never know his secret.

As my army of swordsmen march to Istanbul i get a wonderful message from my adviser

I also have researched monarchy and encouraged my people to take down the republic (weird when they want a monarchy right?) My swordsman are know at the gates of Istanbul

Siguis ordered a siege "come men if the man beside you falls pick him up bring him back to camp are men will not be left behind!" His army cheered. He remembered his first battle against the barbarians he saw many men die including his brother. He wanted the fighting to end but would never say that it's not the viking way his brother use to always say. But he was dead now so maybe the viking way is not the path he meant to follow. As he thought about it he snapped back to reality.

All of a sudden it began the siege the sun was going down and the only catapult they brought bombarded the city. The highly trained vikings cheered as the walls begin to crumple and they rushed in to kill any thing that moved and loot any thing they though of value. The troops ran into little trouble a platoon of spearmen and some militia no match for there axes and swords. "it's amazing this puny city has lasted this long" siguis said. "Shall we keep the city" his second in command said. "yes This is the first victory of many" he said His troops screamed there approval. The Vikings have just officialy been put on the map.

Pretty good, but you really need some punctuation.

I count at least 4 missing periods and two missing commas in the first three lines.

As to gameplay- you really need to do some settler pumping. It's already 10 AD, and you only have five cities. You're building the Great Wall, and (it appears) that no city is producing a settler. I'm not the most advanced player, but this is some basic CivIII stuff.
