How I can make it through with honor? I haven't do it never really good, time is allways the problem. So, please give me some tips.

It all depends on what nation you play, really. But there is something all in common... be quick. Just like in WWII, you have to build up an army instantly and attack as soon as possible. However, I am not in the best position to talk, only finishing it 4 or so times, and only "beating" it twice.

i play as the russians and make a base in the mountains and move my capitol there. i never win, though.

Do some searching for the name Lafayette and scenarios. He posted either here or at Apolyton about ways to win using different starting players. I think he even did it with the Neutrals.

Cool link. I'm currently playing as the axis. About 1 turn from a decisive victory and eliminating all civilizations 'cept the russians. However, destroying the russians in the twelve turns I have left is not something I think I'll be able to manage (yes, conquering the entire map is my objective). Drat!

Have fun, peeps.

i made a game as the axis the other day but i accedently overwrote it. i had taken out evry other civ except the russians and the allies. i was about to take terhan. i was so pissed

I would use diplomats/spies and take techs to catch up and ofcourse build an army as quick as possible.

But still how can you do it as the neutrals? They're just too far behind and too small

Man, I wish they had these scenerios on the PS1 game. After reading about WW2, I would love a WW2 strategy game on the console.

Take care,

Jay

You could specify who you're playing with.
I remember loving that scenario.
Who do you play with??
I loved to play with the russians and beat the crap out of everyone. Don't know how.

I won on Diety with the Neutrals, starting with 2 or 3 cities.

Strategy: Sell improvements in cities to raise cash. Get Rail Road and the tech that allows artillery. Build two small cities, each with barracks. Build up veteran artillery and start taking cities, which gives you tech and cash. When you take a city, start selling improvments, and rush build more artillery. Make peace after you have taken cities. Build up forces. Then start another round of attacks.

That is impressive. Who did you attack first? I would imagine the Axis would be the nearest target, but they're also possibly the most difficult to come up against, except perhaps the Russians.

Okay, I finally got a new computer, along with Civ Chronicles. I played WWII once, as the neutrals. I (and the rest of the world) got slaughtered when the allies and axis signed a peace treaty, then a strategic alliance. Then, they assaulted the rest of the world. The game ended just as the allies were breaking off the treaty and gaining nukes.

Hm, it has been my experience that when playing a smaller nation, everyone eventually starts to gang up on Russia. I've only done this occasionally, though. I recently tried to build a city on the New York/Washington continent as neutrals, but the Axis took Bergen (city supporting the engineer) the turn before I could build the city. I think of all the small nations, the Spanish are the easiest to play. Separated from big enemies and close to markets for goods, they have the best chance.

The Spanish are easy, the Turks are descent. With the Turks I managed to take all of the middleast, and Alexandria, but I got bogged down in istanbul by a stuburn Axis. Russia was constantly declaring war. So, I decided I had done all I could do. At least Turkey was a major power. As the Turks you can take the two French cities right off, as they don't have much guarding them. With some improvements they become fairly productive.

I played another game as the spanish, and did pretty well. I just pretty much started by taking Southern France and the African colonies. France falls fairly fast.

Who ever you play as, the trick is the following:

-Wipe out the nuetral civ (they only have 4 cities and the Axis take out Amsterdam in the opening turn, so that leaves just 3 others)

-Capture your main rivals capital (this leads to a schism), if you do this against the Axis they lose Italy, South France, and anything else they conquered. Just imagine Mussulini ending alliance with germany and Vichy France revolting.

I believe I am the record holder for winning with the Neutrals - August 1948 (no restarts / total conquest - with limited restarts I made the time limit for spain) I have a number of strategies but a really big feature is getting money out of the Allies via conquoring their "soft targets" and then making peace.

You have to be annoying enough that they will war with you but nice enough that they will make peace and give you goodies.

Quite. If you can appease the Allies and Axis for long enough to absorb French Africa, Turkey, Iran and all the virgin land east of Mesopotamia and the Caspian then Russia's soft underbelly is yours for the gutting, provided you trade and steal enough tech to keep up. Split Russia with the Axis and your production is vastly increased. From there it's fall-of-capital-triggers-civil-war time for Hitler or Churchill, and your victory is assured. If you can send 2 transports full of engineers to colonise Central Asia by 1940 / 1941 you stand a good chance of winning in the end. The AI is very slow to take advantage of new land, but if you concentrate on your 'lebens raum' you can withstand even the fall of your homeland (Spain, Turkey or even France) and eventually prevail.

I found it much easier on my old classic version, before the advent of the Multiplayer addition. Diplomacy is much more difficult, and increases the difficulty for a weak nation like Spain, Turkey or the Neutrals considerably. Can still be done, but it's just difficult, not fun.
