^$PLAYER0, party leader of the {$STRENGTHS4} $CIVNOUN2!
^It is $YEARTIME5. Your ancestors were subjects to class authority, but in the last
generation they became skilled at subverting and revolting, and they formed the Bolshevist movement. Workers and peasants have
expropriated the bourgeois and feudal property in many parts of the country, still the ruling class is in power in more than
half of Russia.
^
^You will operate very special facilities and units.
^
^Every 3 turns, the Free Land improvement produces a Peasants' Militia unit (4/9/1) capable of terraforming tasks and able
to make defeated enemy units fraternize and form another Peasants' Militia.
^
^Every 5 turns, the Workers' Own Factory improvement produces a Workers' Militia (7(7)/8/1) capable of terraforming tasks and able
to make defeated enemy units fraternize and form another Workers' Militia.
^
^Once you built Eisenstein's Film Academy you'll get a Propaganda Unit (8/0/2) every 4 turns that is also capable of making enemy
units fraternize and form a Red Movie Squad which can be moved to any city to play a revolutionary film there, thus increasing
the revolutionary spirit.
^
^The Zarist counterrevolution attacks with powerful Cossacks (10(7)/6/3) capable of enslaving your comrades into Serf units (0/10/2).
Your foreign enemies are gathering large amounts of tanks and planes in their intervention ports. Time plays against you! You
need to increase the revolutionary spirit to expand your city borders and to get access to horses and oil.
^
^$PLAYER0, the Party has vested [absolute power] in you, trusting that you can build a
$CHARLIEMYSTERY6 revolution to stand the Test of Time!

I love the concept here. I have been waitingfor something like this to come out for a long time. I'm new to this game and I'm not a big tech head so I need a little help here. Do I have to make manual changes to something in my coputer for this senario to run or is there some sort of instant install wizard type deal? Like I said I'm new to this and I may be asking very ignorant questions. Can You give me some help?

In Solidarity,

Peter K.

As there is pretty few feedback I'm not really sure if it runs smoothly. You definitely need Civ3 Conquests. Apart of that, you just have to unpack the file and check if everything is in the right location: The Russian Revolution.biq needs to be in your conquests/conquests folder, within this folder, an additional folder called Russian Revolution which contains text and pedia.

I'm still hoping for people to test this scenario. It does run without problems on my own PC. The only thing that really isn't solved is the end of it.

I like the idea but put some more effort into it with maybe unique units with unique animations and a *full* map yey for the communist movement scenerio commrade!

To be honest, this is just a small tinkering. I'm not developing scenarios professionally. I just wanted to test some concepts like the fraternization and revolutionary movies - I don't think I'll add my own animations.

This might be the case for the thing I'm busy with: the history of Vietnam 1930 to 1980. If anybody may assist in creating unit animations for Vietcong troops, Napalm bombardement, 60s style American helicopters, Cambodian guerilla, or, say, Chinese Levée en masse Infantry - I'll be grateful. But this will still take some time, as I'll be in Egypt for about a month now.

:goodjob: Greetings,
Great scenario. However, I have a few suggesions: like a full map, year appropriate unit graphics, ei: using bi-plane bombers instead of B-17. I believe you should find these in any of the ww1 scenarios available, and finally, putting a time and date when the scenario takes place and as the game progresses.
Otherwise, this is one of the better scenarios available because the speed and the time. Goes by quite fast. One other thing. What are the invisible units that I keep bumping into that kill my units, and how do I see them?

Isn't it ironic?

Danielkula..just had to say thanks....that just cheered me up after a truly awful day. Funniest response i've seen in years. Laughed for AGES. :goodjob:

I'm happy somebody really is testing my scenario. Thing is, I've been on the road for quite some time now and couldn't fix any bugs or add anything. As soon as I'm equipped again (computer, flatrate) I'll get back to it. Keep on telling me your comments.

Looks good, I think it's nice that you included the anarchists in Ukraine. As repeated in history later on (Spain and France 1968) they were betrayed by the communists.

I would love to test this scenario, but when using the F6 screen, the game crashes if I try to see the Socialist Era. :(

When you fix this bug, I will try the scenario and give you my comments. Not much use of playing until then.
