Outside Influence
I don't know how many of us Civ geeks are also admirers of Sue Townsend's famous fictional nerd, but I've discovered a new chapter of his diary - set between the novels Adrian Mole: Cappucino Years and Adrian Mole & the Weapons of Mass Destruction.
Originally, this work was posted on the Guardian newspaper website, in at least 94 installments from November 1999 - October 2001. I have collected these as a single MS Word document. Since all installments are freely available online (albeit very difficult to locate, with no index) I can see no reason why systemizing and reposting them should count as an infringement of copyright. I fully acknowledge Sue Townsend as the author, and have no wish to profit from helping others appreciate her work.
Here it is:
Diary of a Provincial Man.
There are a few continuity glitches between this book and the published Weapons of Mass Destruction, as detailed in the Adrian Mole Wikipedia entry. Still, it's good reading and ties up some forgotten threads of Mole's life. I hope a few forumites enjoy it.
