Today, India invaded Pakistan, drawing the ENTIRE Asian rim into war. Thousands of U.S. and Canadian troops are being sped to Japan, where they will set up for an invasion of the Korean peninsula. Korea, as you all know, fell to China last week. Chinese and India officials have confirmed our worst fears, that there is indeed an alliance between them.
Meanwhile in Europe, border skirmishes and outright war has broken out between several states. Intelligence reports that in Ukraine, Anti-Russian protests are at an all time high after a major battle occured in Volgarad. The train systems in both nations are severely backed up due to sabotage, which is being blamed on extremists from both sides.
The tiny Austrian Army was annhilated by Italian invaders after a pitched battle last week. The Italian fleet has put to sea, and hundreds of thousands of tourists are left stranded in Italian resorts.
Reports of battles in Lorraine have been recieved just moments ago, as the German Bundeswehr and French army seem to have fought a screening action against one another... More details are forthcoming. The French have seized Monaco in the last few weeks, and the Germans invaded Denmark.
The ENTIRE English navy has put to sea, leaving many families in the port towns to wonder when they will see their families again.
Spain has annexed Portugal, amid protests from the U.N. and Brazil. No Spanish officials could be reached for comment.
Poland blitzed Belorussia, with a sneak attack that was called "Horrific" by international observers. The Polish fleet has also been on the move, shelling the coast of the Baltic Sea.
In Turkey, things are strangely quiet after the revolt that captured the worlds attention. There is much defensive posturing after the Egyptian fleet was mobilized and put to sea.
I shall dare to be the first journalist to use the words "World War III." President Bell was unavailable for comment, but has been noted in the European conflict to favor no one. Last week he was quoted as saying "NO Americans will die for European mistakes ever again. At least no under my watch."
How can we achieve peace in Europe? The World Cup hopefully can bring some unity to the region, as the heavily favored English will take the field in Tel Aviv against Ireland in a match that has many implications, both politically, and socially. There will be much more at stake then soccer in this year's World Cup competition.
