I think it's really to early for this kind of thing. The responses you get now will most likely be fairly high, but if you did this poll again a few months down the road, or even a few years, I think the game would rank significantly lower.

The reason I believe this is because of the lack of re-playability when compared to the other games in the civ genre. Right now civ rev is fresh and new and the novelty of it hasn't worn off for most people. However, because of the extremely limited customization and lack of mod-ability for the Civ Rev, I think your gonna find people will get bored of it much faster then previous civ games.

I wouldn't mind seeing this poll after a few more months. That will give me time to play all the other civ games so I can vote responsibly. :mischief:

Or maybe I just won't vote on this one. :goodjob:

I agree with Endure to some extent but I think the multiplay and GOTW features will extend the replay-ability for quite some time. Also, If they come out with patches to fix some the problems that caused me (and many others) to give this game an 8/10, I think replay-ability will not be an issue.

I gave it a 9.

The console versions are fantastic, but I really urge everyone to give the DS version a try, especially if you also have the home console version as the DS' lack of civilopedia won't be an issue.

Otherwise the DS version is identical to the home version and its portable! Nothing like conquering Athens on the train!

I want to know what kind of Civ poll has MacArthur as the best world leader ever. Didn't he just fade away? :)

Seriously though, it seems like a strange choice particularly for a list of world leaders and not generals. I assume you're talking about Douglas MacArthur, or maybe my US-centric viewpoint is making me forget about someone else named MacArthur?

You know, I have both the DS and 360 versions, and I've noticed some units have different stats on the two systems (the galleon, for example - 2 moves on DS, 3 on Xbox), but probably by mistake.

I guess that's another thread.

eh - the names aren't that important. I wanted it to look like the list of leaders at the end of a game of civ, where it says where you rank in history. I don't believe everyone on their list are exclusively world leaders - some generals in there, too.

I gave it a 9 because I'm having so much with multiplayer right now I think the game is an incredible 'revolution' of the Civilization turn based games, but I didn't give it a 10 because there are some definite improvements that could/should have been made. Stacking units, for one, and adding just a little more depth in some places (technology, resources, and diplomacy).

I voted 8

But you have Quayle ahead of Gore?????????

If I had to be one of those two men, I would pick the Oscar winning, lecture circuit gentleman any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

if I had to be one of those two men I'd blow my brains out. ;)

I also voted 8, along with most others.

I love this game to death, but I still gave it a 7. What this game needs is balance on each civ and a fix on bugs and multiplayer issues.

I went for 9 because if you have Xbox Live or PSN, replayabillty shouldn't be much of an issue. It is very addicted when you play online.

I don't have the game, or even a ps3 or xbox 360, but i was just wonderin WHY AL GORE IS NUMBER 2!! He should be at least number 7.

Do not change the topic please.

Somthing is very, very seriously wrong with this list.

I've never been to a more anal-retentive forum in my entire life.

It's like half the people here are the comic book store guy.

Lighten up, people.
