Techs:
We already got this figured out...we got our next few techs ready to go...

Trades:

None, Zip, Zich, Notta, Zero, Nothing, so on and so on..

But!! France as something we could use...

CURRECNY!! But!! SHE WON'T TRADE IT!! Oh well, so I think we should check every turn to see if she wants to trade it...how about that??

Thanks!

I say don't trade anything for currency and wait until another AI gets it. Then we will have currency for free because of the GL.

Agreed. Perhaps the AI will really help us out by making a "Construction for Currency" trade in the near future. :D

Right. As it is, we probably won't have the political might to begin our quest for a Republic revolution for many years, and each city will have stuff to build in the mean time. I'm sure by then at least one additional scholar will bring to us the remaining ingrediants to currency. If not, and governers are yearning to start marketplaces, we could always start pre-fabricating some buildings using our granary plans and fill them with the new Marketplace design we've heard so much of from France upon completion of our understanding.

However, I find this to be an unlikely scenario, and that we'll have everything we need to know before we start even setting aside land for Marketplaces. Just my thoughts anyway.

You should line up a luxury trade as well for the end of next turnchat, I have arranged for an extra wine to be shipped out of Priapos, so you better look into luxury deals.

Priapso won't turn into New York only because you will build a harbor there. I can't see no oportunities for luxury trade through Priapos.

Then you see very little Civlord, the wine next by will be added after the hill is mined, which means we can trade wines by water.

Yes, but with whom? Anyway, this is not a discussion thread for that. I will post in the Priapos Government thread.

Then we should do so for the intelligence gains, and we need preparedness for trades of wines, anything else is plain stupid. It is the lack of instructions, not presence of instructions, that kill us.

No trade with France, don't give Joan our gold! We'll get it free with the Great Library soon enough.

We may not be able to trade luxuries yet, but we need to keep an eye open for when we can. We can monitor what luxuries they have and decide who we want to trade with so we can start the deals as soon as we are ready.

Yes, we will need luxuries in the near future...we need to keep the people happy, even in the times of war....

Especially in times of war! Of course, having a gander of the map you'll see that the remaining known luxury resources are soon to be monopolized by Rome. Thus, it's going to be in our best interest to keep a stellar report with Rome if we wish to trade away these wines for luxury. Of course, while it seems simple enough we might also have to realize that Rome is going to be our biggest threat very soon (grabbing a huge chunk of land from Germany and having most likely three sources of luxuries plus iron and horses).
